Plan your vacation away, in Maine!
We are happy to share our home in Brooks with the many travelers, Maine sees, all seasons.
Our home is nestled on a nice little hill, with 16 acres around us. We offer full access to our home. There are sleds, snowshoes, wood stove, fire pit, and cooks kitchen, with a separate dining space. We have WIFI, cable, great dvd's, games, puzzles, Bluetooth player, many books on Maine, and an atlas to help you enjoy your stay.
We are dog friendly, for well-behaved dogs. No need to leave your furry friends behind!
The house is centrally located to many great areas in Maine. Belfast is just a short 10 minute drive. Belfast is a great little town with many restaurants, local shopping, a movie theatre, and great walks (even in the winter), along the ocean.
Check out community boating on the waterfront! Or make
your way to Swan Lake, for a fresh water dip, with facilities.
You can easily make your way up to Sugarloaf or Sunday River for a full day of skiing or boarding. With just a short ride back home you'll be enjoying the jetted claw-foot tub, warm fire and dinner afterwords.
We are also close to Snowbowl, in Camden. Offering night time skiing, riding, a snow tube park, snow shoe and cross country skiing trails.
Acadia is about an hour and a half drive. We love to take winter drives up the Maine coast. The ocean it incredible to see even during storms with all the ice covered rocks.
You'll find several amenities to assist in having an unforgettable and lovely stay. Pizza pans for homemade pizza, big pots for lobstahh bakes are just a few. We also provide you with fresh local eggs, juice, and coffee, upon arrival.
Please contact us with any questions, and don't hesitate to ask. We will do our best to accommodate your individual needs.
We're looking forward to having you!

About Leanne Hanley
We Love Maine! We have been camping and enjoying Maine for years..We both love kayaking, the ocean, cooking, hiking our two dogs, day trips, sailing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and warm cozy fires in the winter.
Leanne Hanley purchased this House in 2016
Why Leanne Hanley chose Brooks
We have been looking for a home in Maine for years. Always peeking, anything new out there.. We began looking more seriously in 2015. We were lucky to find a home so closes to some of our favorite spots in Maine, Sugarloaf, the ocean (for sailing), Acadia, and Belfast. Mid-Coast Maine is super accessible and a lot of fun. Go to the left, you're rural, go to the right you'll hit the ocean. It doesn't matter where, you can find beauty all over. We love buying food that's grown locally, sustainable, and growing what we can. We were lucky to find our house and the 16 acres that came with it. We hope you'll enjoy it as much as us!

Very nice home!
We really enjoyed our time in Brooks Maine and having such a nice home to come back to at the end of each day made our experience even more enjoyable. We will book again when we return.
Beautiful property and a wonderful stay
We had a family get-together over a long weekend to celebrate our son's 18th birthday. Leanne's beautifully built and exquisitely decorated house easily accommodated our party of ten, including my wife and I, our parents, our son, and friends of his from nearby Unity College and further afield. Catering for everyone was a cinch in the well-equipped kitchen (the highlight being the large Wolf range with gas hob - woohoo!) and it was great fun being able to sit everyone around the long table for meals, games of cards and general banter. Parking was easy, even with 6 vehicles. The house itself is set in a secluded location on 15 wooded acres (awesome for walking the dogs and so nice to simply stand in complete silence once in a while...) yet Belfast is only a 20 minute drive, even after heavy snow, and nearby Brooks has both a small sell-all-you-need supermarket and the superb Marsh River co-operative for organic and local food. Leanne was super responsive by phone and text throughout the booking process and we very much hope to return; perhaps when it's a bit greener and less white outside! Thanks again Leanne!
Beautiful home in the woods of Maine
Our group had such a wonderful time staying in Leanne’s home for New Year’s Eve. She made sure that everything we could possibly need was available to us and the house was very clean and well put together when we arrived. There were enough beds for everyone with clean linens and she even provided a bed for our dog! Her home is absolutely gorgeous, you can tell she put a lot of work into detailing and decorating the spaces. There was an entire handwritten guide book with suggestions on places to eat, shop, and do. The property was big , and we were even able to use some of her snowshoes. It was an amazing way to ring in the new year! Thank you, Leanne!
We stayed at this home for a weekend after going to The Lost Kitchen for dinner. The house is beautiful and quite spacious (even though there were only 4 of us). Leanne was super responsive when we had questions. If we are back in the area we would definitely stay again.
Nice and quiet
House was neat, clean and accurately described.
We had a wonderful girls weekend! House is beautiful! Leanne is an excellent host and very quickly answered any questions we had. There was a question as to whether or not there might be power as our state had been hit with a devastating storm early in the week. Leanne quickly gave us options in case we weren't going to be able to stay. We are so glad we were able to stay!! Love the outdoor patio and fire pit! We wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
