Experience the simple charm of Cape Cod living at this one-bedroom Falmouth home, a dog-friendly cottage on a historic property within walking distance of Main Street.
This single-level cottage shares its property with a six-bedroom historic home built in 1861 by Captain Tom Lawrence. The cottage can be rented individually through this listing, or together with the larger house for group getaways and reunions (please contact Vacasa for additional details).
You'll be just a short walk from shops and restaurants on Main Street in Falmouth Village, 200 yards from the local bike path, one mile north of Falmouth Beach, and two miles from Falmouth Heights Beach.
Come inside through the private entrance to find a 400-square-foot living space with knotty pine ceilings and an open layout. Spend your days on the beach and come home to play board games, browse the WiFi, or watch TV in the sitting area.
Brew coffee and whip up breakfast each morning in the kitchen, where you'll find basic appliances, an eat-in table, and a dishwasher for easy clean-up. Use the provided canoe to paddle on one of the nearby ponds, or spend the morning lounging on the deck with your dog (please note that there is a one-dog limit and a small nightly pet fee).
With one bedroom and one full bathroom, this Falmouth cottage will accommodate as many as five guests (but it is more comfortably furnished for four). You'll find one queen bed and one twin bed with a trundle, as well as a Pack 'N Play, a crib, and baby gates. The bathroom features a shower.
Beloved among families and beach-goers, Falmouth Village is full of history and gorgeous Cape Cod scenery. Swim in the warm waters of Vineyard Sound at Falmouth Heights Beach, take a short drive to Chapoquoit and Old Silver Beaches just a few miles north, or spend a rainy afternoon at the wonderful Falmouth Museums on the Green.

About Vacasa, MA - Cape Cod Office
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers. Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team. Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Comfy and convenient
This cottage was perfect for our first time in Falmouth. It's centrally located, safe, and dog-friendly.
Clean, quiet and convenient!
This was our first time in Falmouth, and our accommodations were ideal. A quick walk to downtown, an easy ride to beaches, and a nice quiet setting made it a great introduction to the area. The bathroom is a bit of a tight squeeze, but everything was very comfortable. My husband, our dog, and I enjoyed our stay!
A great, centrally located cottage with very friendly, caring property management. Highly recommend Captain's Cottage to anyone traveling to Falmouth, MA.
Warm in the winter
Top five coldest day of the season in Falmouth, but our stay at the cottage behind the Captains Inn was warm and cozy. Centrally located, large, clean, and warm (off season stay) made it just the right place for this family of four.
My sister and I stayed at the Captain's cottage recently in order to take care of some family issues in Falmouth. The cottage is exactly as pictured. Very neat and clean with a small kitchenette. A great size for a couple or small family who don't mind sharing one big room. The cottage is conveniently located within walking distance to main street, the bike path, and the ferry parking lot. The property manager, Aine, is very warm and helpful. This was my first time renting a Vacasa property and I was very pleased with the service, cost and attention to detail. If we need to go back to Falmouth, we will definitely make this our first call for a place to stay!
