Comfortable home, great location, friendly owners

  • 5 of 5

Clean, comfortable home; great location; friendly, accessible owners ... My colleagues and I were in Belfast the past two years for a week long educational session and needed accomodations and this place fit the bill perfectly. Hopefully we'll get to return this year and for several years to come! The Belfast area is beautiful with plenty of excellent dining option and fun things to do. I have nothing but good things to say about my time spent in this home and my ... Renn and Jon were fantastic to deal with.

Fabulous Time!

  • 5 of 5

Thank you for a wonderful time in Belfast. Your home was complete with everything we needed. Our children loved the park, pool, and basket swing. The tree house and trampoline were perfect for them. They spent hours chasing the bunny outside too! It was nice to be able to walk to the water and to dinner at night. We especially enjoyed being able to walk to the movie theater, ice cream shoppe and candy store. What a picturesque coastal town!

Amazing Town & Amazing home

  • 5 of 5

This home and location suited us perfectly. It was great for our kids and was within walking distance to everything that we wanted to do. We did do a day trip to Bar Harbor and one to Boothbay. I can say with all certainty that Belfast is a wonderful town and this house was fantastic. The kids loved the treehouse and the trampoline and the fact that they could walk to the park, water, movie theater and the local pizza parlor! We are counting on showing up again next year. Thank you so much!

Lovely house, had a great time!

  • 5 of 5

We just spent a week at this house - it was great. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We rented with another family - had plenty of room and the kids had a blast with the bunny, the trampoline, and the completely awesome tree house. It's very walkable. The pool at Belfast City Park was nice, the playground was great. The beach was very nice (but rocky). We also easily walked to Belfast, where we enjoyed pizza, ice cream and walking through the lovely little shops. We would totally recommend it to friends & family.

Wonderfull holiday home in Belfast/Mid-Maine

  • 5 of 5

We rented Renn's house early August 2012. I brought my in-laws over from France to the US. It was their first time to the US. They liked the place a lot. Quiet and calm, the house is spacious to accommodate easily an extended family.

Renn left enough books, toys, tools and games for us to spend nice family evenings in the spacious living room. That is, if we did not go to one of the harbour restaurants for lobster.

The kitchen is well equipped and spacious enough to have nice family meals. The kids appreciated the garden (fully equipped with a tree house, swings, trampoline etc) and the FREE public pool is just a few minutes away, around the corner. Renn also left plenty of post-its with tips, hints and information that were useful to discover the house and the surroundings.

We had plenty of BBQs, lobster and discovered the coastline north and south of Belfast. Belfast has plenty of shopping outlets & supermarkets and you find all you need.

The house does not have AC but that did not bother us much. Also, we did not have much trouble with Mosquitoes, black flies or other vermin which was very nice… The house is on a "main street" but then, Belfast is off enough the beaten track that we were not bothered by circulation. We actually walked downtown (and the kids did cycle)

Thank you very much Renn for the nice time. If ever we come back to mid-Maine, we definitely will come back

Lovely vacation

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at this awesome, large home. There were two families with 5 children under 6 years old. We had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy ourselves. The home was fully stocked with paper products, soaps, etc. The house has a very homey feel, it is like staying at a friends house rather than a hotel. If other people's things being around bother you, then this is not the place for you.

The home owners are lovely! Renn and her husband even offered to take us all out for a sail. They were very gracious when our youngest sailor had a rough trip.

Belfast is a cool, small town. Very relaxing.

A few notes for parents

- the tree house is in the side yard, so you will need to be outside to supervise.

- the master bedroom is on the third floor.

- the is a trampoline and hot tub.
