Great location for walking the lake and driving into the Porcupine Mtns. for hiking and sightseeing. Everything you need is provided. Has the feel of grandmas house. It was alittle warm so we could have used more working windows and air conditioners. And maybe window coverings that helped keep the sun out during the day.
The Last Resort-Best Place for 4th of July!
Appropriately named and served our purposes. Although the house is a bit quirky, it was clean and comfortable. Well-stocked with all the necessities. Situated in a small town near all state parks. Spectacular firework show over the lake. You can see from the bedroom window or a block walk.
Fantastic Base of Operations into the Wilderness of the UP
We spent 4 nights in this home in June 2018. Originally, we planned to stay 2 nights between camping in the apostle islands area and the Porkies. When bad storms changed our early plans, the owner was very accommodating to make the home available to us early. We enjoyed the location as it is close to the south entrance of the Porkies and there are ample outdoor hiking options nearby. We hiked to waterfalls and always had a cozy home at the end of the day. The house is very nicely appointed; we found all of the kitchen items we needed. Having access to the washer and dryer was also a huge plus as we were heading out camping after our stay here.
All in all, we were very pleased. A very nicely appointed home.
Cozey & convenient
Stayed three nights for a ski vacation weekend, everything was as expected, convenient to all of UPs resorts
Great stay in the UP
The house was incredibly clean and updated! It was conveniently located to our favorite ski hills and other " up north" activities. The owners were friendly and easy to communicate with. The house added to the comfort and fun of the weekend!
Great place to stay. Clean & cozy!
