Hard to know even where to begin when the experience can't even be put into words. We had the fortune of renting this home with our family as a surprise 60th gift for my Mother and it simply exceeded any and all we could've imagined.

We chose the location as the listing offered everything we were looking for, a spot right on the ocean in the Cape, beautiful views, relaxation, and centered right where we could go out and enjoy activities without having to travel very far. In addition, the privacy if we wanted it would always be there.

Because this was a gift for Mom, there was a nervousness to rent based on only seeing the pictures, but minutes into walking into the home, we realized the pictures only partially captured what our eyes would see. The wide open view of the ocean immediately caught our eye to the point where we could spend time just sitting there to have fun. The place is so well laid out, had been immaculately clean and Maria (the owner) had always been available to communicate with and make certain we were comfortable. The home is secluded and set back and until you walk out into the yard, you dont even realize how spacious it is and all that it had to offer. There's a private beach within walking distance and we even found ourselves traveling by kayak over to Washburn Island (very close) as it offered a small beach where you could stay and not have anyone else around and we also had purchased a clam license so we could literally dig them out of the ground and go back to the house and enjoy them.

I mentioned it being secluded but what's deceiving is that if you travel a few miles away you can enjoy all of the restaurants and shops in Falmouth which we had a great time doing. Really gives you the best of both worlds.

I really could go on and on as I dont have enough good things to say about our trip there, but needless to say we've already booked it again this year, we can't wait to experience it again. My Mother grew up in the Cape which is why we chose this area so needless to say her opinion meant the most and she happened to be the biggest cheerleader to have us go back again. I very much would recommend this place to anyone looking for similar experiences and many great memories, I know that's what we got out of it.

Everything about this rental home is perfect! We stay for 2 weeks, and have been doing so since 2013. We are already booked for 2016. For over 30 years we had been in the Mid-Cape area in the summers. When we sold our house, we had to find a good rental to continue our "must-have" Cape time. We rented several homes in the mid Cape area, but were disappointed in the quality of the rentals....(crummy beds, too small, moldy). My brother lived in Falmouth, and found this house for us in 2013, and we discovered a whole new vacation area. The home is beautifully decorated and very clean , the beds are comfortable, and the owners are wonderful to deal with. The location is fantastic, with views of the river. It's fun to watch the boats go out in the morning and head home at night. My husband has a sunfish that he sails everyday (weather permitted) out to the the Sound. We have a lot of family and friends near Falmouth, and this area has become like a second home to us. The dining room table is big enough for entertaining. We love Green Pond Fish Market, Smitty's Ice Cream, the variety of restaurants close by, Mashpee Commons, Falmouth Light Opera, and easy drive to the ferries. The back yard is big enough for our grandchildren to play in, and the small beach down the road is great (although we are more apt to go to the larger beaches close by). This is a fabulous house to rent if you want to experience the Cape!!

A great house, beautiful setting, a GREAT vacation

  • 5 of 5

We all enjoyed a perfect week. The house and setting are great! Very clean, comfortable, bright and sunny with fantastic views. We brought our kayaks and toured Waquoit nearly every day. There are so many places to explore. And being able to launch the kayaks from the beach right in front of the house was heavenly. It afforded us the convenience to head out for the day, or just for a short while. We discovered Mashpee Commons which has lots of restaurants, cafes and ice cream shops, many of which have outdoor seating, plus there is a movie theater and bowling alley. It was perfect, the kids went to the movies while my wife and I had a quiet dinner with my in-laws. We became very spoiled by the beautiful views from this beautiful home and hope to be back again next year.

Great family vacation!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first time on the Cape, and we loved it. And we’ll definitely be back. Our kids are grown, so my wife and I decided to rent this house with all the extra space, in hopes of enticing them to join us. And it worked. Our oldest joined us for the entire time with her husband and daughter, and our youngest came for a few days. The house is great because it is right on the water, with beautiful views from just about anywhere you choose to sit, indoors and outside, with lots of comfortable seating and dining areas. The house was very clean and beautifully decorated but my wife and I especially enjoyed having our own master bedroom with private bathroom. We found Mashpee Commons to be a great place to walk about, shop and eat dinner, with many restaurants offering outdoor dining. Be sure to head across to Wiked for fantastic pizza. We became addicted to Smitty’s Homemade Ice Cream which is just up the road. We also enjoyed the drive to Woods Hole, an old fishing village of Falmouth.

Lovely beach house with magnificent views!!!

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful week our family had at your beautiful, clean, well-equipped beach house! We loved having our meals out on the deck, watching the osprey flying overhead with their fresh caught fish for dinner. We truly enjoyed the association beach, with lots of children for our kids to play with. We took a very pleasant ferry ride over to Martha's Vineyard one day. We loved Edgartown's restaurant and shops. In Oak Bluffs, the kids loved riding The Flying Horses.

It was a beautiful family vacation, filled with so many happy memories for us all. We look forward to coming back again next summer. A perfect week was had by all! Thanks for sharing your lovely beach house!

Fantastic water views!

  • 5 of 5

We really were pleasantly surprised when we walked in and saw the spacious living area and spectacular water views! Everyone was happy because there are water views from every room in the house. We found the house to be perfect for many reasons: My wife loves to kayak and enjoyed launching right from the private beach every morning. The kids enjoyed walking to Bayside Beach, which is just a few houses up the road, because they could swim across to Washburn Island and explore. Falmouth is great, but you don’t have to go anywhere from this home. I liked the spread out living spaces, especially the different outdoor seating areas. There are 2 decks and a patio, in addition to a huge front lawn to kick a ball around. Being on the water, there was always a pleasant breeze, although we did appreciate the AC toward the end of our stay. We had a fabulous week and would like to stay for 2 weeks next year!
