About Alan Karpf
We are retired folks from teaching and owning a small business in Salt Lake City. We previousy owned a condo in Park City which we sold and soon realized how much we missed it so we purchased this one in Dec. We believe it will make for a pleasant stay in Park City, winter or summer for whoever rents it. When we first visited Park City around 1960 it was well on its way to becoming an old mining ghost town. lt is a much more exciting town now and close to Salt Lake City with its cultural facilities. A nice, quiet place to return to after a busy day.
It was a little crowded for 3 as the pull-out bed takes up most of the living room, but quiet and very comfortable! The kitchen was well equipped too. Such a great price, and so close to grocery stores and restaurants... would definitely stay there again.

The condo was great,comfortable and everything we needed.Lots of good restaurants in walking and driving distance.A great walking/biking trail with access across the street behind Freshies(get the lobster roll there yummy).Great price! I will stay there again.

Great condo for a small family

Great location, wonderful hosts
I had a wonderful stay at Alan and Sharl’s condo - it is clean, comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped for my cooking needs. I loved the easy access to the Union Pacific biking and running trail, and there are several great dining options within walking distance. Alan was very helpful and responsive throughout the booking process, as well as during my stay when I had questions. Hope to stay here again in the future!

Pretty good value, but not for someone who will need to work and "stay" there
I believe the host will readily admit that I had a "rough start" to my visit, but steps were taken to rectify numerous things and I was later able to find a reasonable routine to the space. It is somewhat oddly shaped with pocket doors that are intended to separate the bed area from the small living area, but it doesn't really work very well. Also, the window in the bedroom is small for the space making it harder to cool it off (not an issue for the winter).
Perhaps the least attractive aspect of the space is the very thin walls and floor. Everyone could hear me and I could hear everyone in the immediate spaces. That made concentrating on work or other things difficult. Also, the toilet was running every hour or so despite trying to figure out where a leak might be (no luck). At least it was separate from the bedroom, so it didn't impact sleep much. The bed, by the way, is pretty comfortable if maybe a tad too soft.
If you are looking for a cheap "crash pad" for nights when you are doing physical things in Park City all day, this might work really well for you. It isn't the cheapest, but it does come with small perks.
