Superb home in the heart of the wine country
We had a fabulous stay in this accommodation. The owner is so welcoming and told us about so much to do in the area. The beach at Libourne is great as is the market. Well worth a good look round.
The house itself is in a beautiful, quiet location and is clean, tidy and welcoming. The pool is great and overlooks the local vines. So picturesque.
We loved it and will book again.
A Lovely Place to Experience Bordeaux

The proprietor, Marie-Hélène, is very friendly and responsive.
The home’s location is wonderful; we set out to be in the countryside and still maintain a close proximity to a decent sized town. It is not in walking distance of any markets, bakery, etc. but Libourne is about a 10 minute drive where you can do your shopping.
The property and surrounding area is gorgeous. It is festooned with fruit trees, vegetables and flowering plants of all varieties and sits next to two vineyards.
The outdoor eating area is excellent and can accommodate 10 comfortably.
The pool is well maintained and while not large is more than big enough frolic around and cool down.
There is plenty of area to park several cars.
Good proximity / accessibility to roads and surrounding areas.
Generally very quiet and serene but the property does sit on a road that gets light commuter traffic. It did not create a huge disturbance but noticeable for those short periods of time.
The property is advertised as having WIFI but that’s a bit misleading as the WIFI signal does not reach the interior of the house. It originates from the owners home which is located next to the property. Basically you have to hang out outside in the driveway to pick up a signal so it’s not very convenient.
The kitchen is very well stocked with glasses, plates, pots, pans, utensils, etc. To some degree it may have too many items including esoteric cooking implements as well as larger baking and serving containers which clutter the finite space and make it difficult to find the basics. One or two new or sharper chopping and bread knives would have been ideal.
On the whole the house is neat and well maintained though some areas are starting feel like they could use a bit of attention; specifically the kitchen and upstairs bathroom.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others.
fantastic location. house was perfect. set amongst the vines.
Perfect holiday. close enouhj to town and far enough away for a peaceful relaxing time. House very well equipped. Children loved the small swimming pool. We BBQ' d most evenings on the covered terrace. We received an excellent welcome from Eric & Sara at Chateaux Franc Capet at the bottom of the vineyard behind the proroperty and bought some our their excellent wines.
Very convinient for visits to nearby St Emilion, and many other famous Bordeaux wine producing areas.
Great family holiday house
As described. Clean, well-equipped and great location for wine tasting. Host very helpful and friendly. Lovely local walks to small 'Chateaux'. Close to a road, but not much traffic noise. Pool smaller than looks in photo, but safe & well maintained.
