Eight guest rooms with private bathrooms
The King William Manor is located in a historic district just south of downtown San Antonio. It is within walking distance to all of the downtown attractions, restaurants and bars. This listing is for the entire eight room house (no kitchen or laundry room). We do rent the rooms out separately from our website. If you need more space we have two additional properties on the grounds that are also available.
The pool is available during warmer months. With advance notice we are able to heat the pool in the winter for an additional charge.
The manor has six rooms with king beds (four of these rooms have pull-out sofa beds) and two rooms with queen beds. We have three rollaways that may be requested. Each room has a private bathroom with a shower/bath combo. All rooms have cable TV with HBO. We have a small gravel parking lot that can hold about eight cars.
PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS NOT A KITCHEN IN THE GUEST HOUSE!! There are a few hundred restaurants within walking distance. Every room has a mini fridge and the lobby is equipped with a small ice maker, filtered water and a Keurig machine. We do not have an elevator and our rooms are not ADA compliant.
Only registered overnight guests may be on the property. Please inquire about pricing for an event rental.

Our group of 8 has rented numerous homes over the years, in various cities, and have never enjoyed a home so much. Beautiful, very clean rooms, each with it's own name, decor style and bathroom, private pool, gathering balcony overlooking Alamo St., CLOSE walking distance to anything you want or need, 15 minutes to the airport, 5 minutes to downtown...absolutely perfect! And, Allison and Craig are the perfect hosts...welcoming, available if needed, offered great suggestions for meals when asked, and were so nice. We wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in San Antonio. Zero complaints or issues.
Wonderful Family Event
This is a place near everything-the river walk, the Alamo, cool King William Historical Neighborhood with WONDERFUL restaurants and ambiance...,
The house is enchanting and really lends itself for family and group events. The hosts are very open and accommodating. There is even generous off street parking.
We had an unforgettable time!
Great place for a family gathering. Loved the decor in the bedrooms. Good restaurants close by.
Six of us from college along, with our spouses spent a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend here. Beautiful old house has its quirks, but all the bedrooms are spacious; bathrooms have been updated, plenty of hot water and good pressure in the showers. Keurig and mini-fridge in every room. Alison was extremely helpful with everything. The only quibble was the lack of a stove, although a small microwave helped mollify those who wanted to heat up some finger food. We turned the library into a living room. This room was large enough for the 12 of us to hang out in, although it might be tight for a larger group. A nice selection of restaurants within three blocks; a much more extensive selection within a mile (around the Riverwalk). Thank you Alison & Craig for your prompt attention to all our requests.
Home Away was easy to use along with homeowner knowledge of home and the area
Locations close to Riverwalk, Alamo, bus, restaurants and tourist areas. Home accommodated our group with room privacy but group gathering area. The personal touches of the homeowner along with her professionalism.
A few suggestions (just because I am in management of properties) .... 1-light at main door due to darkness; 2- brochures so resident not disrupted by others wanting to rent. It was nice to have keurig n water.
Need reference, please free to have them call me. Thank you Allyson!!
Delightful space for gathering family and friends.
The photos and description on the website don't do the King William Manor justice. Each room was lovely, there was plenty of coffee, pool towels, hot water for showers (several going at the same time!) and the location made it perfect for a walking/uber weekend. Our group of family and friends, ranging in age from 5 to 65, enjoyed the ability to gather inside and out... or to duck away for a nap in a quiet cool bedroom. It was a lovely weekend.
Convenient, Convenient, Convenient!
Beautiful home. Allison, Craig, and Laura went above and beyond to make our stay a SUCCESS. Besides a little set back that was quickly resolved we truly enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay again. Believe the site when it states that you do not need a vehicle.
