Great stay!!! It was our first time to visit the area and, WOW, it was so peaceful and incredibly beautiful country! God blessed Oklahoma (but God loves Texas 😘)! Love the area...just can’t say enough about it! Can’t wait to come back and stay longer. BEAUTIFUL area 😍
Really charming place.
Nice place to get away
It was great. Loved the hot tub and the area was picturesque
Perfect for a relaxing getaway, good value
Steph's Secret is in a good location near the State Park. It is not completely isolated from other properties, but gives a decent amount of privacy if you're on the front porch or the hot tub area. The cabin is very clean, no musty odor or shabby furnishings, comfortable bed and sofa, and reasonably sized for a studio. (We are a couple with an 11yo daughter... she slept on the sleeper sofa, no problem.) Sitting around the fire pit at night was AMAZING... there were lightning bugs everywhere and it was downright magical. I have stayed in other cabins in Broken Bow, so in comparison, I will list a few pointers about this property: the kitchen has the necessities but not a lot of space and not very many extras as far as other guests' leftover condiments, etc, so plan to bring your own stuff if you want to cook. There are not any coolers, etc for guests to use. Also, the amount of towels was skimpy. There were only 2 beach towels for the hot tub, and not very many towels for the bathroom either. There is no dishwasher and no ice maker. The shower is tiny but has crazy water pressure... almost too much, to the point where my daughter said it actually hurt to put her face in the water (and it did!!!)! There was a stray dog that hung around while we were there too. There is firewood, but it was wet and needed to be chopped up anyway, so bring your own. Overall, we were very pleased and would return with these things in mind.
A secret no more
I hate to leave a glowing review because then the cabin won't be free when I want it! Seriously, this is a beautiful, secluded, astoundingly clean and well furnished cabin tucked far from main roads. You'll want to take your pick-up truck to get there. Everything was just perfect and we can't wait to go back. The only minor complaint is there is a mobile home basically in this cabin's backyard. Turns out we didn't hear anyone there but it did detract a bit from the ambiance.
