Willowdale Farm offers a slower, more old fashioned way of life, where vegetables are organically grown and preserved, fresh eggs are gathered, hay is cut and baled, fruit trees bloom, and a few nubian goats graze in the lower pasture. There are various buildings and outbuildings on the place including Robert's furniture design/build studio, and the main structure, a large red roofed barn which contains The Barn Loft Bed and Breakfast, a favorite hideaway for many visitors, alumni, and friends of Oxford and Ole Miss and to lots of wayward travelers.

Very nice property, lots to look at
Went out of their way to make us comfortable and made us feel welcome
Thank you Phyllis,
It is very kind of you folks to leave such a nice review, and I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. It was indeed a pleasure having you all here on the farm.
Perfect Accomodation for Family trip to Ole Miss Football Game
Robert is a wonderful host. He greeted us with a basket of freshly baked muffins. The barn was the perfect size for our family of 4 and located fairly close to The University of Mississippi campus. We would definitely stay here again.
Great location. Perfect place to gather or just relax and enjoy some peace and quiet.
The loft is beautifully decorated and extremely well kept. No detail is overlooked... from delicious breakfasts to cozy beds. The location is perfect for trips to and from Oxford.
The barn loft is a beautiful property, private and peaceful, immaculate and comfortable, with plenty of open space and pleasant views. I enjoyed a wonderful weekend away from my busy life and came away refreshed. Robert is a perfect host, providing delicious baked goods and fresh fruit in addition to a warm welcome and an unobtrusive availability. I would recommend a visit to anyone seeking a quiet country getaway, and I hope to return myself before too long!
Country Charm Perfection
The farm is absolutely delightful – and the highlight of any trip to Oxford. Robert & his basset hound John Brown will make you feel right at home from the moment you pull into the driveway. The farm house sets atop a rolling pasture with beautiful views, and the home is bright, spacious, immaculately cleaned, and delightfully appointed with beautiful handmade furniture. Everything has been thought of including fresh baked goods, gourmet coffee, luxurious linens, rocking chairs and a beautiful cast iron tub that awaits you at the end of your day. There are a handful of chickens and a couple of goats to enhance your “country life” experience, although the farm is only a quick drive into downtown Oxford for all of your dining and shopping needs. Robert strikes the perfect balance of being available for anything you might need/making sure your vacation is perfect with respecting the solitude and privacy of his guests. I honestly cannot imagine a more perfect place to stay.
Ideal Oxford retreat
As I scanned some 400 entries left in the House guest book over 7 years, I estimated that the word “perfect” showed up over 300 times in the reviews.. My wife and I can echo that. In 20-plus years of travel together , we haven’t stayed in a more comfortable, spacious, handsomely decorated and well equipped vacation rental. And Robert is — as described — the “perfect” host.
