About Keri and Josh

I grew up in Winter Harbor, a town in which my ancestors settled in the late 1700s. And I can say, and so many of my childhood friends agree, that it was the greatest place in the world to be a kid. I have a deep love for the area and it was a dream of mine to own a home there, until it actually came to pass in 2006.

Between the Schoodic section of Acadia National Park, the fishing community (which is the heart and sould of Winter Harbor) and the gorgeous and historic summer community of Grindstone Neck, my town offers an ideal place for families to get away from the chaos of everyday life, enjoy great comfort, scenery, activities and dining, and remember a time when life moved to the rhythm of of the seasons and when people did not need to lock their doors (most still don't).

So if you are looking for a beautiful property to relax in while you enjoy one of the most beautiful places in America, come and stay in Winter Harbor.

Wonderful and relaxing stay with our family!

  • 5 of 5

This property is very clean and well-maintained. Everything was provided (linens, everything you would need for the kitchen, washer and dryer.) The bedrooms were very spacious. The front porch was used to relax in the evenings/mornings- reading books, sipping coffee, or as a playroom for the kids.

The owners were readily available to answer any of our questions and were so kind.

We loved the location. We were able to visit Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park during the day but have a quiet place to return to in the evenings. We also enjoyed watching the sun set at Schoodic Point which is also part of Acadia National Park near Winter Harbor (only a short drive away). The town is quaint and all the locals we came in contact with were friendly and willing to suggest restaurants, places to buy lobster, and must see attractions while staying near the Bar and Winter Harbor areas. We also enjoyed checking out DVD's to watch movies in the evening at the local library (only a 2 minute walk away from the house).

We are already planning our next trip to Maine. And we will definitely plan on staying in Smallidge House again!
