Our special guests are sure to enjoy a memorable vacation in this fully furnished, 3 bedroom/2 bath property with breathtaking views of the Colorado River and the nearby Black Mountains including the world renowned Arizona Buttes . This fine newer home is only 5 minutes from Bullhead Municipal Airport, Colorado River access and the hotels/casinos in Laughlin, Nevada. This fine home has nearly 1,500 square feet of living space, a three car garage with ample room for temporary storage of your boats and jet skis and a beautifully manicured front and backyard. The master bedroom has a full sized bed and large master bath with a walk-in shower and Jacuzzi tub. The remaining rooms are furnished with queen sized beds comfortable for sleeping 10 people. The large living room is furnished with two couches including a queen size pull-out bed and a large fireplace for family enjoyment and entertainment. The kitchen and breakfast bar is perfect for in-home dining and entertainment. The house is situated five minutes away from the Colorado River, 15 minutes away from the Lake Mead Recreational Area and Lake Mohave and only 2.5 hours from the entrance of the Grand Canyon. We have many, many returning clients due to the fact they have had a fabulous stay at our home.

Not a good experience!

First of all, we walked into the house and there was an awful RANCID smell in the entire house, in the fridge, in the garbage disposal and in the garage! It was absolutely atrocious! We had to run to Walmart and spent money on candles, small deodorizers, and Febreze bottles to clear up the smells. The garbage disposal had old food and beverages in it that did not help the smell situation. The coffee pot filter was filled used coffee grounds. Once we smelled the odor throughout the house, we called the owner and advised him of the situation. He was extremely apologetic and told us he would refund our cleaning deposit immediately/right at that moment. However, after numerous texts to the owner, me constantly pestering them, and 3+ weeks later, I FINALLY got my deposit back! The entire silverware set consisted of 2 or 3 forks, 5-6 large spoons and numerous knives; so we had to buy plastic silverware to use throughout our stay. We were never able to log in/use the WiFi because the password didn’t work. We contacted the owner, but was still unable to use the Wi-Fi. We couldn’t get the DVD player to work. Both of the living room couches were very “used” and very uncomfortable; one being held by 2x4’s on the ground underneath and both appeared and felt like they were purchased from a thrift store. The ceiling fan in the room with the wooden desk was unable to be turned on/used because the chain from the fan kept hitting the light bulb, making a loud noise, most likely because it was out of balance. The light in the room with the twin bed never worked properly, so we had to use the hall light. Although the AC was working, the house never got “cool,” which wasn’t fun because it was over 110 degrees the whole week! Lastly, the extremely small dining room table in the kitchen had a glass table-top. It was not centered on the stand...so once we got the smell under control, we brought in groceries and put them on the table-top, and the table fell towards the fridge and shattered into 1000 pieces...which cost us over $100 to replace!

Owner's Response: The guests in their review are not being forthcoming about timelines nor are they being forthcoming about their disregard for our home. The odor temporarily present was an oversight due to the extreme summer heat the week of the guests stay (trash cans in the garage so we avoid an association fine of $100) and was quickly remedied as verified by both the guests themselves by telephonic messages and also by our professional cleaning service. The guests were also given permission by us to arrive early for their week long stay and unfortunately the trash was not taken to the street for pick up therefore unfortunately rendering the odor (The guests arrived very early compared to the normal check in time). Secondly, the guests brought to our attention that the glass table was broken after the designated check out timeframe (guests took the liberty to remain several hours later than the 11 a.m. checkout) as was agreed upon when the rental agreement was secured. The story relayed to us was the table top glass was most likely broken much earlier in the guest's stay than reported (cannot absolutely confirm this however but hard to fathom the glass was broken at the final hour of the guest's stay). The replacement glass was not even close to the same caliber glass table top that was broken. Furthermore and despite this fact, the full damage deposit was returned to the guest...again, despite the fact the glass table replacement was not even close to comparable to the original glass table top. The WiFi issue was an isolated issue with the guest and not with anyone else (The guest was provided with the password and WiFi address in a timely manner prior to their stay). We were at our home shortly thereafter the guest's stay and there were absolutely zero issues with our WiFi. The WiFi was working perfectly normal. Lastly, we have a professional cleaning crew that maintains our home impeccably and we have not received the aforementioned complaints prior nor since. The supermajority of our guests not only love our home and its warmth as a "home away from home" (as one can observe from 20+ other reviews) but we also have secured many return guests year after year. We are also constantly upgrading our kitchen items and other household items to assure a pleasant stay at our home. We also take great care to constantly deep clean the entire house and regularly shampoo the carpet in each room to guarantee a pleasant vacation experience. Thank you.

Perfect Vacation Home

This was our first time renting a vacation home through HomeAway, and we couldn’t have picked a better place! The home was perfect, spacious, and clean!! Had all the essential needed to make meals and avoid going out. Ken and Jennifer responded immediately to any questions we had and made sure our stay was comfortable and accommodating. Home is kid friendly and we will definitely be booking again! Thanks again to you both!

Home Away from Home

This is my 2nd time staying at this property, the house is awesome.

Quiet neighborhood, and close to EVERYTHING.

The house was clean and it truly felt like a home away from home.

Homeowner is very polite and communicative for any inquiries I had.

My family plan on staying there many more times.

Thank you Ken and VRBO for accommodating us this Memorial Weekend.
