About the property

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths

Alpine perfection awaits in one of the most tranquil spots in Arizona, just 85 miles from Phoenix and 10 miles above Prescott. Leave your cares behind, and enjoy this modern (2001), clean, and efficient cabin for a long weekend, a week, or longer. Relax on the large deck nestled among fir, ponderosa, and aspen. Enjoy the view down the 7000-foot-high alpine valley.

Listen to the headwaters of the Hassayampa River babbling beneath you as you barbecue a well-earned dinner after a day of hiking, swimming-holing, exploring, and bliss. Snuggle up to the cozy wood-burning stove. Shoot a game of pool or play ping-pong on the table in the loft.

Grab a couple of sleds from the equipment room and take some runs. For the kids and kids at heart, there's a HUGE aspen-shaded playpark with a ramada, ball field, horseshoe pits, swings, monkey bars, and sports equipment just across the creek!

Three bedrooms, one with a king-sized bed, one with a queen-sized bed and one with two twin beds. Well-stocked kitchen with new cabinets and appliances. Laundry room complete with washer and dryer. Microwave, dishwasher and fridge.

Tranquility awaits.

Why The Owner chose Prescott

Built in 2001 along the Hassayampa in a spot I loved since I was a kid spending summers in the area.

What makes this cabin unique

Potato Patch is the highest, coolest, and snowiest spot you can get within 100 miles of Phoenix. The only part of the Bradshaws or Central Arizona with aspen, Douglas fir, and white fir trees. Also has a deep history as the spot where gold strikes led to Abraham Lincoln's declaration of the Arizona Territory.

Peaceful and perfect!

  • 5 of 5

Our family truly enjoyed our stay. Close enough to get things if needed, but far enough away that you feel like you have escaped! Everything was well equipped and the surrounding area was perfect for family hiking. We would love to stay again!

Wonderful Relaxing Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed staying here! The cabin was very cozy and nicely decorated. Nice outside deck in the trees. The beds were very comfortable and we got a good night sleep. We played ping pong upstairs. Watched Netflix. There was a huge thunder and lightening storm on our first night there! Scary but fun!

We hiked in the area. Loved all the Quaken Aspen Trees! We did art of the nature outside. It was very nice. We will be back.

Cabin in the Aspens, a Quiet and Peacful Getaway

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin and had almost everything we needed. The place was well stocked with kitchen ware, supplies, games, linens etc. The outside deck was our favorite spot and we spent the majority of our time enjoying meals and each other's company among the bird song and tree-tops! Beautiful!!! Our only discontent was the cleanliness of the cabin. We suggest the owner review the cleaning service they are currently using asap. The floors were very dirty, as were the windows. There were many old cobwebs left behind and the kitchen cabinets were pretty grimy! That being said - We would still consider staying here again as long as the cleaning issue had been resolved and could be guaranteed. We hope our review is helpful in making your rental even better. Thanks for your service.

Great hideaway in the woods.

The cabin is clean and everything is as advertised. It is a ways away from town which can be good if you are looking to get away. I would stay again if we head back to Prescott.
