Perfect get away for our 22nd wedding anniversary!
We had a wonderful time staying in Bear Paw #1 for our 22nd wedding anniversary trip in June 2018. The cottage was super clean. We loved relaxing in the hot tub after a day of tubing or touring around Helen. Even with the close proximity to the other cabins, the trees and porch curtains gave plenty of privacy. We will definitely be back!
The only "constructive criticism" that I can think of is maybe a sign that is more visible from the drive to let visitors know which cabin number is which. We couldn't see the numbers beside the doors with the foliage blocking the view.
Cozy little cabin in the mountains !
I really don't have any complaints at all. This was a great place, everything worked. The hot tub was awesome. Plenty of towels, the bed was comfortable and clean. The kitchenette and the grills out back were great and allowed us to make some meals instead of eating out all the time. We were on our motorcycle, so I was worried about parking, but cabin 1 allowed us to park pretty much right outside of our front door. I will definitely be booking this cabin again. The only thing I can think of was the water pressure in the shower. The sinks seemed to be fine, but the shower head was a bit weak. Other than that it was excellent. Thank you.
Great for couples
Great place for couples. Very cozy and clean, the bed was comfortable with good pillows. My only complaint was the shower head and water pressure.
Loved the area!
We took our 12 yo grandson thinking he could sleep on Mattress in loft (the description says mattress) however it was not a regular mattress just some kind of padding so not very comfortable for him and I would not put a small child up there for fear they might fall out especially if they wake durning the night. The other bed (king size) was very comfortable. The cottage was very clean and has all the basic needs (a toaster oven would be nice) I would stay again if just my husband and I.
Loved that this place was 7 min away from Helen and other activities.
This was a surprise for my husband and he enjoyed every moment. Did not like that the doors were hard to open/close. The cabin was too close to other cabins which was kind of disappointing (but at least not joined together). There was some mold on a ladder to the upper loft/shower curtain...so just be careful before hanging your clothes. Enjoyed the ease of using the hot tub. Bed, pillows, and linens were very comfy. Manager was quick to call us back when we realized firewood was not provided. It was prefect for a weekend getaway for 2.
The cabin was very nice. The only negative thing I have to say is that the knobs on the front door was hard to turn. I will definitely stay here again.
