Definitely an older property...I was really disappointed that was no cable television.
It was an older property, no cable television only a Roku like device, but not enough bandwidth to support. So basically just a television for looks. Not a great ski in...and no ski out. Must use shuttle or drive. Other than those small issues it was fine.
Sorry to hear you were disappointed in the condo due to the lack of cable TV. We do let guests know about this in the advertising, so I am sorry you were surprised by it. You can actually ski out on and walk to the condo, but it is more convenient to take the shuttle that is a short walk away.
Solid *almost* slopeside condo
Great place for one family that doesn’t need true ski-in/out.
Parking lot is directly in front of the unit entrance. Though kitchen was small, was well-stocked with utensils, plates, glasses, etc. Living room/dining area very serviceable for a single family, though both bathrooms are downstairs. Both bedrooms also downstairs. Our three kids (14,12,8) were a bit tight in a single bedroom with a queen bed (girls shared) and a futon (oldest/son took), but it worked. Other bedroom also has a queen and plenty of closet space.
Very short drive to restaurants and Sugarbush parking/drop off. Though the unit advertises as ski-in, and it is, the signage back isn’t great and we ended up hiking a bit to come home the first time we tried to ski-in.
We didn’t use wood stove or deck because was so much snow out there, but the wood was piled high for us if we wanted it.
Minor downside with unit was it didn’t have great space right inside the front door for us to put all our stuff when we got home from skiing - solvable by using ski valet at mountain but then you can’t immediately hit slopes in the morning.
WiFi worked fine for us and we didn’t mind there wasn’t regular cable. Property manager was very responsive to all questions we texted.
Great Condo with everything that you need to enjoy your stay
Our family of 4 stayed here for 4 nights at Christmas. The condo was great! The unit is very quiet as unlike some of the condos at Sugarbush, there are no other units above you making noise ( e.g. Mountainside, Village or Paradise). The beds have nice firm mattresses which is really nice. The unit is well appointed and has everything you need to make dinners and breakfasts. Another plus on this unit is that you can park right outside of the door and aren't lugging your stuff through a maze of stairs. One of the only downsides was there is no cable but there is internet TV. We didn't realize this at first and thought that we were going to have to watch dvds from their library. But then realized that the DVD player had Netflix and Amazon Prime streaming! We hope to stay in this condo again as it is one of the nicest that we have been at in Sugarbush.
Nice accommodations. Clean and well equipped.
Thanks so much for your review James. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay at this great condo. I hope that you will come back to visit again.
Nice long weekend getaway
The property was very nice, well-equipped with everything we needed. Easy to book. Only wish that there were instructions with the wood stove, we aren't at all familiar with them and didn't want to use it incorrectly (looked it up on internet). Also the path to ski in/ski out was not snow-covered enough to use, which was unfortunate, but luckily the lodge was easily accessible by car even after a fresh 6" of snow. The resort did a great job of clearing roads and parking areas. Made dinner in kitchen one night, ate out the other two at very nice restaurants in the area. Great condo for a small family.
Great location and updated condo
This is a neat condo with easy access to the slopes.
