This was a perfect place to stay for our family. We were able to walk to most tourist attractions and even walked to/from Georgetown. We were provided a parking pass at the time of our arrival, and found street parking right away. This is an older home so expect some old-home quirks, but that’s why we loved it!
Beautiful historic house with modern conveniences. Safe high energy neighborhood. Owner provided parking permit.
Great location - close to grocery stores, restaurants, sites
5 of us were attending the National Book Festival and stayed here for 3 days/nights. We were within walking distance of the Convention Center where the Book Festival was held. We dined one evening at a very nice Italian restaurant, which was a block away. I would suggest that the owners do a little more fixing up as a bathroom door was missing a handle and didn't close properly and one of the toilets did not work. We did enjoy the spaciousness of the living room and dining area, where we could spread out and relax. The kitchen has been remodeled and has updated appliances, which was nice. We would certainly consider staying here again.
Great place for family
Lots of room great location. Quiet. Beds need update. Didn't find shopping cart. Took awhile to cool house down
Live like a native Washingtonian
I love architecture and old houses, so I was very interested in staying in this home during our visit to DC. I liked that it was not too far from the action, and for us that meant easy trips to the museums, monuments, White House, and Capitol. We did take the metro and also used the buses for some of our trips around town, and we didn't have to walk very far to a station or a bus stop. We also did some walking to get groceries or snacks, or just to look at the other historical homes and churches in the area. We drove to DC, but were able to park on the street and take public transportation.
In addition to the 3 bedrooms, there is also a full or queen-sized raised air mattress available so that you can sleep 8 in this home. The bedroom with a twin bed has a twin trundle also. In the kitchen, there is a bar on the island and 3 barstools, this is in addition to the dining table that seats 6. We cooked several meals here, and the appliances are all like new.
We enjoyed being in a home and not a hotel or apartment. It was nice to be in a neighborhood and eat at the local restaurants, shop at the local stores, walk around, visit the local parks, and "live like a native" while we were here. Thanks to the owners for sharing their home!
A great stay in a historical hotel
This VRBO is in a perfect location in the Logan Circle area of D.C. Close to great restaurants, Whole Foods, and public transportation. The owners are very responsive to requests and very helpful in making suggestions to improve our stay. Highly recommended.
