The Trail: Quoted from The Appalachian Trail Conservancy: “The Appalachian Trail was built through the town of Hot Springs over seven decades ago, and today white blazes still mark the path through town and over the bridge across the French Broad River, before heading north up to the vista, Lover’s Leap. The Trail is unequivocally intertwined with the town - it is the first town, headed on a northbound hike, through which the Trail literally overlaps the town’s main street. Because of fond experiences, recreational opportunities, and scenic beauty, the town is quickly gaining popularity among second-home owners and people seeking to relocate entirely to Hot Springs.”

It was perfect for our trip to Hot Springs!
This is a very comfortable house in a great location. It was the perfect place for us to meet our son who was hiking the AT.
Clean, close to town and trails, hot tub is nice!
Our family of four stayed at this property over Thanksgiving. We have really enjoyed the location of the property in that we did not have to use the car the whole weekend. We could walk to town to the restaurants or grocery stores for food and walk the nearby trails. The hot tub was really nice after dark during those cold November evenings.
Clean and cozy and great location for family fun
Our family all enjoyed this vacation and rated it as a must return. The house was clean and cozy for our family of four. The river access was great for fishing, wading, and just relaxing by the camp fire at riverside. The Appalachian trail is a short walk past the house to Lovers Leap Loop. Rodney and team at Hot Springs Rafting were great fun and as locals gave us lots of tips and history on the area. The Laurel river access about 5 miles away was also a beautiful trail along river and lots of family swimming and fishing holes. We all enjoyed hot tub time to end each day. And gotta get those Parmesan garlic fries at the Ironhorse and the soft serve ice cream at the shop across from hot springs rafting. All a short walk across bridge into town. An all around perfect place to stay. We'll be back for sure!
Perfect for our family of 6. Right on the river....outstanding.
A beautiful house, in a great location.
This is the second time we've rented this house. The house is always clean and in good order when we arrive. Despite what the info book says the WiFi does work and reaches all the way to the hot tub. The hot tub and sauna are again both in great working order and clean, the only misrepresented item is the out door shower... which may function but neither I nor my wife were brave enough to step in much less try showering in it. It needs some serious attention, but it was no particular loss for February.
Always a great time, close to town yet quiet surroundings. Definitely a recommendation for anyone looking for a rental in Hot Springs
Thanks for your feedback, shortly after your stay the management of the house has changed. The sauna, hot tub, grill and patio are all very operable and in good working order. The outdoor shower area is out of order and is not advertised with the listing. The wifi can be intermittent at times, we are glad that it worked during your stay. Cell phone service in Hot Springs is very poor especially on busy weekends.
Great little mountain town.
Loved the location. The house was so very clean. We will be returning!
Beautiful 45 minute drive to Asheville should you want to experience a larger city or visit The Biltmore House. Stay in Hot Springs to enjoy what Blue Ridge Publications voted as being the 'Best Small Mountain Town.'
