Direct ocean front property Paki Maui, unit 313, is a fully equipped 1 bedroom unit located on the third floor overlooking the interior portion of our tropical garden area. Our unit is less than a short 1 minute walk to our beach area in front of our property.

Our unit is has a fully equipped kitchen, pull out sofa sleeper (uncomfortable), internet wifi, cable tv and a king sized mattress in the master bedroom. The bathroom area has a shower/tub combo with a separate lock-off toilet area for privacy.

By far, the best feature of our unit would be our cool and shady private lanai area facing our tropical garden. You'll be amazed at the beautiful songs from our abundance of tropical birds which live right in our back yard! They're very friendly and will come and greet you each and every morning.

Paki Maui Location:

Our property is in the Honokowai area and is only 5 minutes north of Kaanapali and 10 minutes north of Lahaina. We're a simple 5 minute drive or a 30 minute walk to to world famous Kaanapali Resort which has been voted the #1 beach in the entire WORLD! And, we're just 5 minutes south of world famous snorkeling Napili and Kapalua Bays.

Property Features:

Snorkeling and swimming right from our property. Being able to walk ON THE BEACH from our property for 3 miles down to Kaanapali. Paki Maui Resort is actually the very last property that you can walk on the beach for miles all the way down to Black Rock in Kaanapali. “Walk on the beach” being the key words! Other properties might boast they have a private beach or a little cove or something but you won’t be able to take a long sunset or morning strolls more than 100 yards in either direction on the beach. It would just be too dangerous to walk on the lava rocks and cliffs from one cove to the next.

No property north of ours can you walk for miles down the beach! If you book north of us, you'll have to walk on the lower road down to our property or next door then start your walk on the beach.

Kaanapali Beach was voted nicest beach in the US and Black Rock is one of the top three “must snorkel” places to on Maui! I personally have seen eagle rays, turtles, Hawaiian monk seals and dolphins right in front of our property. Other properties north of Maui Sands you have to actually walk on the road onto our property then walk on the beach to Kaanapali. Were talking about a 2–3 mile stretch of beach and your at one end.

Details about our beach area:

Since were at the very end of a 3 mile long stretch of beach, our shoreline changes drastically depending on currents and storm systems far away. If you're staying right in the middle of middle of the 3 mile stretch of sandy beach, you're probably NOT going to notice the movement and you'll have a sandy beach all year around. But at the very end of any beach, you’ll notice the changes. By the way, right in the middle of Kaanapali Beach is Kaanapali Resort, which is a very expensive area of the island and that’s where you’ll find the Hyatt, Sheraton and Westin Resorts.

Typically during the summer months the ocean currents move the sand north towards our property and our beach grows. This is due to the increased tropical activity south of the islands. During the winter months the Alaskan storm systems push the current and the sand south towards Kaanapali and our beach comes and goes. But, a sandy beach to plant your towel down on is never more than say the property next door. Don’t’ bother asking if it’s sandy when you plan on coming because it can change drastically just overnight! It all depends on the currents and storm systems around the islands and sometimes we get effects from storm systems or hurricanes as far away as Australia and Fiji!

good situation !

We were on an ideal place on the seaside, safe snorkeling among numberous beautiful fishes ... and green turtles ! We appreciated the proximity of fish market, farms market, and many lovely beaches ... the best and quietest for sun and snorkel was at Paki ! Our unit had nice view on the garden. Good organisation with large and safe parking, laundry.

Great location

The location was great. Easy access to Lahaina by bus. Also a nice beach walk to the Whalers village. Not too busy but lots to do and see.

The condo was clean and in good repair although the bed was a bit to soft for my liking.

Overall an enjoyable stay and all set up and ready to go.

Great location, nice old property, but would stay in different unit.

Great location, quiet building, lovely courtyard. Bedroom backs onto parking lot and road. Bed described as king, was really a old, foam topped queen. Sofa bed was unuseable, not just uncomfortable; absolutely no padding over springs. No air conditioning but ceiling fans. Two additional floor fans provided but no extension cords to move them where needed. If wind blowing, good cross breezes when windows left open. Three worn beach towels only beach stuff provided. Old safe in closet but no key. Kory advised hasn't been one for years, yet no note to indicate on safe. Bathroom needed more thorough cleaning.

Great value

Great location, close to coffee shops and quick bites to eat. Great beach. Easy to find. Comfy bed and plenty of nice towels. Was a little stuffy/hot, even with every window and fan going. That was our only complaint. Great for 2 people. Good for price and would recommend for last minute quick weekends

Property was nice, clean and well equipped except it did not have a toaster. Location was great next time I should pick a better time of year as the tides were very high unable to enjoy the lagoon as water was rough at all times.Thank you.

Peace and serenity in the garden

Lovely old building and well maintained. Surrounded by a lovely tropical garden with waterfall full of Koi. Room wasn't ready on arrival but soon dealt with. Room we rented a bit rough around the edges. Could definitely use some updating. Nothing we couldn't handle. Loved the location so close to many beaches and town of Lahaina. Ocean waves heard every night and the tropical garden fountain. Good for the price.

Our unit is managed by a local company here on Maui. Once booked, they will contact you for payment. You're only charge through vrbo will be their separate service fee. We collect rent, tax and cleaning fee separately via check or credit card (PayPal) cc fees apply. 25% deposits, 75% due 45 days prior to check in date. If within 45days, must pay in full.

- Sign, fax or scan rental agreement back
- Decide on check or credit card, deposit or in full.

PAYMENTS (Check - allows you to save of CC fees or Credit card - Paypal)

- We DO NOT use vrbo's new payment collection system and have our own
- We collect all deposits, balances due or payments in full.
- Pay in full within 45 days of check in
- Deposits are 25% of total amount due.

VRBO Service Fee: This is separate and charged by vrbo, not us. We have no control on what they charge you.
- Once accepted, they will automatically charge you their service fee.
- Email will be sent to your personal email from our Paypal account.
- Save the 2.9% for US or 4.5% fees by paying check.

- Two separate taxes are collected in Hawaii. GET and TAT
- VRBO tax quote is slightly higher that what you'll actually pay.
