Paki Maui unit 325. A large, oversized 2 bedroom 2 bath unit with duel ocean viewing lanai's. Sleeps up to 6 guests.

This is a direct ocean front unit on the 3rd floor with amazing ocean views over the island of Molokai. With the pull out sofa sleeper, a king sized bed in the master bedroom and a queen in the 2nd bedroom, this unit sleeps up to 6 guests comfortably. Our unit features high speed internet WIFI, a flat screen tv, full kitchen and a large 6 seated dining room table.

You'll probably spend most of the time on our lanai area watching whales play in the winter time and enjoying the amazing sunsets each and every night. Our large lanai doors open right up to the amazing sounds of the surf, views of the ocean and sounds of the tropical birds. Imagine yourself enjoying coffee each and every morning on our lanai listening to the songs of the birds with the sounds of the ocean waves in the background.

Paki Maui Location:

Our property is in the Honokowai area and is only 5 minutes north of Kaanapali and 10 minutes north of Lahaina. We're a simple 5 minute drive or a 30 minute walk to to world famous Kaanapali Resort which has been voted the #1 beach in the entire WORLD! And, we're just 5 minutes south of world famous snorkeling Napili and Kapalua Bays.

Paki Maui Property Features:

Snorkeling and swimming right from our property. Being able to walk ON THE BEACH from our property for 3 miles down to Kaanapali. Paki Maui Resort is actually the very last property that you can walk on the beach for miles all the way down to Black Rock in Kaanapali. “Walk on the beach” being the key words! Other properties might boast they have a private beach or a little cove or something but you won’t be able to take a long sunset or morning strolls more than 100 yards in either direction on the beach. It would just be too dangerous to walk on the lava rocks and cliffs from one cove to the next.

No property north of ours can you walk for miles down the beach! If you book north of us, you'll have to walk on the lower road down to our property or next door then start your walk on the beach.

Kaanapali Beach was voted nicest beach in the US and Black Rock is one of the top three “must snorkel” places to on Maui! I personally have seen eagle rays, turtles, Hawaiian monk seals and dolphins right in front of our property. Other properties north of Maui Sands you have to actually walk on the road onto our property then walk on the beach to Kaanapali. Were talking about a 2–3 mile stretch of beach and your at one end.

Details about our beach area:

Since were at the very end of a 3 mile long stretch of beach, our shoreline changes drastically depending on currents and storm systems far away. If you're staying right in the middle of middle of the 3 mile stretch of sandy beach, you're probably NOT going to notice the movement and you'll have a sandy beach all year around. But at the very end of any beach, you’ll notice the changes. By the way, right in the middle of Kaanapali Beach is Kaanapali Resort, which is a very expensive area of the island and that’s where you’ll find the Hyatt, Sheraton and Westin Resorts.

Typically during the summer months the ocean currents move the sand north towards our property and our beach grows. This is due to the increased tropical activity south of the islands. During the winter months the Alaskan storm systems push the current and the sand south towards Kaanapali and our beach comes and goes. But, a sandy beach to plant your towel down on is never more than say the property next door. Don’t’ bother asking if it’s sandy when you plan on coming because it can change drastically just overnight! It all depends on the currents and storm systems around the islands and sometimes we get effects from storm systems or hurricanes as far away as Australia and Fiji!

Really enjoyed Maui, the unit and the ocean

This is a good sized unit and well furnished. It was nice to have kids ocean items onsite as well. There is a friendly cat in the complex - just be careful as she will nip at you if you pet her too long! Being on the ocean front was really great. There is a double barrier reef so you can swim between them easily and safely. There is a real beach next door at a part (not much of a beach at the unit). My only issue was that the ocean view directly off the unit was blocked by trees - a clear view off the main deck off to the left. We could see whales off the coast once in a while.

Not fancy, but cozy enough for the five nights we stayed there

Condo was good for the length of time that we stayed there. Any longer though... It needs all new appliances, new pots and pans, cleaned or new lanai slider doors and screens, and a super duper deep cleaning. Had a closet full of beach supplies, half of them need to be thrown away though. Everything worked well though and we had a great time.

Enjoyed our stay but would not choose this property again

We just returned from a lovely four-night stay in Maui with friends. We chose this rental because it had two bedrooms and a kitchen. The location was great -- there were several shave ice places, a farmer's market, a grocery store, and an urgent care within walking distance. We liked that there were grills to use, and on the property were lawn chairs where you could sit and watch the ocean (and whales!). We were less impressed by the room. It was not totally clean when we arrived, there were several things that are past due for replacement (like shower floors), and there was no air conditioning. (For the latter, I could have sworn it said otherwise in the ad, but I found the current ad and it doesn't say there is A/C. But we had a hard time sleeping comfortably, even with the fans.) The beach that runs up next to the property would be hard to swim in because there are a ton of rocks; though there were people swimming, we didn't feel safe doing so. And one of our party got an infection from the hot tub on the property (hence our thankfulness for the nearby urgent care). Overall, a neutral experience; we will look for other properties next time we are on the island.

Not bad.....have had better though.

It was a nice place to stay, quiet and relaxing. The criticism that I have is the place could be cleaner. Sliding divider doors between the living room and master bedroom were so dusty and dirty you could leave messages on them! The kitchen was poorly equipped and the pots and pans were scratched up Teflon that was warped and looked like they were used for battle. Would be nice if some of the dry goods, spices etc. and cooking oil were left in the unit.

Great location!

This condo is in a great location right next to some of the larger resorts. It is more private than staying at the larger resorts, which was nice. You can sit right out over the ocean or relax at the pool and BBQ. The unit had a well-furnished kitchen and plenty of linens and beach accessories. The location is convenient to groceries and other shopping and is just a short drive from Lahaina, which is the big center of shopping, restaurants, and the harbor. The only down side to the unit is that there is no air conditioning. We stayed there in June and opened the place up and ran the ceiling fans and it cooled down just fine, especially at night.
