If it’s photo ops you want, True Love is for you. The decks, great room, and game room of the 2-bedroom cabin offer spectacular views of the Great Smoky Mountains. That’s not the only reason this cabin is so special, though. True Love is chock-a-block with numerous other amenities, as is the resort in which it’s located.
The cabin is part of the Preserve Resort, located on a ridge in the quiet Wear Valley area. When you stay at True Love in the summer, you have free access to the resort’s outdoor pool. And year-round you can take advantage of its sauna, workout room, and spacious covered pavilion, which has a fireplace for chilly evenings and ceiling fans for hot afternoons.
While the views of the mountains from the Preserve Resort’s pavilion are awe-inspiring, the same is true of the scenery visible from True Love’s 2 covered decks. You can gaze out at the mountains while kicking back in a rocker or dining alfresco at the patio table—the fresh breeze rustling through the trees is the perfect background music. The best spot of all to revel in the surrounding natural beauty, though, may be from the upper deck’s hot tub. Treat yourself to at least one nighttime soak beneath the star-studded sky; it’s simply magical.
True Love’s many windows and vaulted ceiling ensure that you can admire the vistas even while inside the cabin. The sunlight flooding in also heightens the luster of the wood-planked floors and walls. Plush sofas and a large flat-panel TV add a dash of luxury to the rustic charm of the main floor’s great room. When you’re not watching TV or taking advantage of the free WiFi, you might want to play charades by the warm glow of the electric fireplace.
Or perhaps you’ll want to head upstairs to the game room. There you can choose between shooting pool at the full-size billiard table or challenging the others to foosball. The game room has its own flat-screen TV as well.
All the fun and games are bound to give everyone quite the appetite. Fortunately True Love’s kitchen is fully equipped with stainless-steel appliances, gadgets, cookware, tableware, and gleaming counters. If it’s barbecue you’re craving, step outside to the charcoal grill. And in addition to the table on the deck, there’s an indoor dining area that seats 6 with ease.
The master bedroom, which includes a king-size bed, a flat-screen TV, and a private bathroom, is located on the main floor. The upstairs sleeping area, however, is just as enchanting. Along with a four-poster queen-size bed, there’s a table for 2 that’s perfect for enjoying a romantic nightcap. The 2nd bathroom, adjacent to the sleeping area, features a jetted tub. After a day on the ski slopes or the hiking trails, you’ll really relish a lazy soak among its restorative jets.
A ladder in the game room leads upstairs to a cozy loft with a futon mattress that can sleep 2. And 2 more people can sleep in the great room, as one of the sofas converts into a queen-size bed.
Not only can you view the mountains from True Love, but you can easily explore them as well: The cabin is just 15 minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The closest entrance is near Cades Cove, one of the park’s most popular areas, where you have a good chance of seeing black bears, coyotes, groundhogs, and other wildlife. Just slightly farther afield is the Pigeon Forge Parkway, the town’s main thoroughfare and home to the Titanic Museum, Dixie Stampede, scores of restaurants, and numerous other attractions.
With so much going for it, True Love just might be the site of your best vacation yet. But don’t take our word for it; experience it for yourself. Book your stay today!
