Smoky Mountain Serenity is aptly named: The 3-story log home is located on a quiet road looking out over old-growth woodlands. Whether you’re soaking in the deck’s hot tub, dining alfresco at the picnic table, shooting pool in the upstairs game room, or lazing by the fireplace in the master suite, you’re sure to feel blissfully serene.
Because Smoky Mountain Serenity has 3 en-suite bedrooms, each with a king-size bed, a TV, and doors that open directly onto one of the decks, it can accommodate several couples vacationing together as comfortably as it can a family. The master suite, on the main floor, is especially sumptuous: It has its own fireplace set in a stacked-stone wall. The other 2 bedrooms are downstairs, as is a sofa in the den that opens into a queen-size bed. The sofa in the upstairs game room converts to a queen-size bed as well, so that the cabin can sleep 10 people in all. The 4th full bathroom is also upstairs. Having a bathroom for each bedroom and an extra bathroom near the game room will make it easy for everyone to quickly get ready to seize the day.
Each of Smoky Mountain Serenity’s 3 floors has its own common areas where everyone can hang out together. The main floor’s great room is spacious and airy, thanks to its towering cathedral ceiling and wealth of windows. The fireplace in its stacked stone surround is sure to be a favorite spot for drinking hot cocoa or tea after an autumn hike. And the leather seating offers plenty of room for sprawling out and watching a movie on the flat-panel TV.
The upstairs game room is, if anything, even more inviting. The huge sectional sofa is so comfortable, and when you’re not gazing out the wall of windows at the woods and endless sky you can kick back and watch your favorite shows on the 50” flat-panel TV. What’s more, the room has a regulation-size pool table and a foosball table to keep you entertained. You’ll find more games—air hockey and a mini pool table—in the downstairs den, as well as yet another flat-screen TV.
Smoky Mountain Serenity’s 2 decks encompass more than 600 square feet. Sit yourself down on one of the many rocking chairs and revel in the fresh mountain breeze as thrushes and sparrows chirp in the sunshine. Or nestle on the deck swing at night and listen to whip-poor-wills serenade the moon. Or perhaps best of all, luxuriate in the hot tub on the main deck. Especially after a day on the go, its restorative jets of steamy water will feel so pampering.
A charcoal grill and a picnic table by the front of the cabin let you cook and eat outdoors (doesn’t everything taste better alfresco?). There’s an indoor dining area on the main floor as well, plus a fully equipped kitchen. Appliances, cookware, gadgets, tableware: The kitchen has it all. There’s even a dishwasher, and for added convenience, the cabin has a washer and dryer too, plus free WiFi.
Despite the peaceful, quiet surroundings, Smoky Mountain Serenity is not far from all the area’s attractions. In just 20 minutes you can get to downtown Gatlinburg, home to the Guinness World Records Museum, an aquarium, mini golf, thrill rides, restaurants, and the tram to Ober Gatlinburg Ski Area and Amusement Park. Also nearby is the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, with its wildlife, wildflowers, and waterfalls. And let’s not forget Dollywood, the Titanic Museum, Gatlinburg Golf Course, outlet shops…
A fabulous time is practically guaranteed when you stay at Smoky Mountain Serenity. But don’t take our word for it: Book your stay today, and experience its joys for yourself.
