Overview

About the property

Bright and stylish apartment on the 3rd floor of a historic building in the center of Venice.

Comfortable and romantic for a couple or a family.

Large terrace where you can eat or relax in the sun watching the rooftops of Venice or the church of 'La Salute'.

Second bedroom on upper floor, this room has a great view views and its own terrace and a bathroom. The entrance is independent.

The district, however supercentral and so close to all the places of interest in the city, it is absolutely not the destination of mass tourism. We can consider the most elegant and exclusive district of Venice.

On foot, in minutes you can find yourself watching the Grand Canal where the lagoon.

Entering the quiet 'calli' which are the turn of the building we discover the 'campi' (small typques palces of Venice) the ancient flavor, lequelles found in small family restaurant conduction offer exclusive specialties menu that go through millenarian contradiction of Venice.

Perfect location but rather tired apartment.

  • 3 of 5

Good kitchen, terrace and lovely views.

But the overall impression is of a place that badly needs some TLC. Sagging sofas and armchair and poor lighting make the sitting room much less comfortable than it looks. Lumpy pillows, shabby sheets and small, thin towels. Such a shame as the location is excellent and the caretaker does an excellent job of keeping it all spotlessly clean.

Great neighborhood and lovely terrace view.

We loved the apartment but you should warn renters about the 51 stairs and 14 more to second bedroom.

Owner's Response: Hello Madam, yes the flat is at the 3 floor. I totally get your point but for Venice it's a totally normal staircase. In Venice there's no possibility to have elevators since the houses are old and antiques and there's no space provided for that. The more you go high more you have beautiful views...like the one in the independent room. Bye! Olivia

Delightful appartment

  • 5 of 5

What a charming spot - located on a lovely small canal and within walking distance (10 minutes) of a good supermarket. Lovely terrace provides an outdoor alternative to the comfort inside. Also easy access to St Marks Square either by the 2 euro gondola (very close) or a slightly longer walk by the Ponte dell' Accademia bridge. Either way the location and apartment is charming. We would definitely recommend.

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

Loved it! The flat was well equipped and a great location. A nice quiet neighborhood in Venice. The only issue we had was that it wasn't clear that the second bedroom was on a separate floor which you had to go into the main stairwell to access. Not that big of a deal though. Loved the large terrace and the restaurant downstairs. Beds were very comfortable and woke up every morning to the bells ringing from the church nearby.

Another wonderful 2 weeks

  • 5 of 5

This was the second time we have stayed in this lovely apartment and, again, we had a lovely time.

The location is perfect for us. It is in a very quiet location but with a lovely view of a side canal. It is close to all of our favourite places in Venice as well as being close to 3 vaporetto stops so we could easily reach the rest of the city.

We enjoyed ourselves so much we are probably coming back next year, but probably in early Autumn to see a slightly different side of the city.

I would recomend it to my friends

  • 4 of 5

We moved to the apartment after spending a couple of nights at a hotel just off of Basilica di San Marco . We liked the location of the apartment, which is in a quieter neighborhood and after spending a couple of days surrounded by people it was nice to get somewhere with more space.

The apartment is on a canal which can be seen from the master bedroom and living room. It is located very close to the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and it is just a short walk to the Accademia and Salute vaporetto stops. The Salute stop is closer and has less pedestrian traffic so it would be the stop I would suggest using when arriving or leaving with luggage. While everything is within walking distance a vaporetto pass will get you you anywhere in the city and is also good for traveling to other islands.

The apartment is large and probably more suited for a family with older kids than two couples traveling together. Our adult son appreciated having a space of his own in the upper apartment but the beds were twins. I did not explore the loft bed that was accessible by ladder. There is a small porch off the upper apartment that has a view of the rooftops and the Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute.

There are stairs that you have to take to get up to the apartment but I have a bad hip and was able to manage them.

It was clean and was exactly as pictured. Alessia met us at the apartment and shared with us information about the apartment as well as places to eat and where to buy groceries in the neighborhood.

I would recommend the apartment to friends or anyone who is planning a trip to Venice.
