About the property

Lrg 4 bdrms, 4 baths, outdoor shower, meeting room, nearby lodge spa pool passes

Originally built in 1946. Rebuilt with modern chic barn houses in 2016 with a sophisticated chef kitchen. Our 6 acre Sonoma Broadway Farms is a picturesque overnight rental located in downtown Sonoma. Our chic barn houses are rebuilt with modern sensibilities and a passion for sustainability.

Just a mile from the historic town square of Sonoma, tucked inside the Carneros growing region, Sonoma Broadway Farms is only 45 miles from San Francisco, 15 miles from Napa and 40 miles from the coast.

Today, our six acre property is both a working farm and idyllic farm-to-table retreat for families, corporate groups and large group getaways.

Please note: Sonoma Broadway Farms does not offer weddings or yoga retreats.

Each farm stay includes a family-style meal for guests prepared by one of our chef partners, compliments of the owner.

Our two modern barn structures offer over 5,000 square feet of living space, completely powered by solar panel. To bring the spaciousness and beautiful natural light of the outdoors in, we added 40 foot skylit, vaulted ceilings inside our Main barn house. This grand multi-purpose entry room also features a fully-stocked modern commercial kitchen featuring a 10x5 foot kitchen Island with a 17-foot lighted Ansil hood over our a gas stove, a large convection oven and 30 gallon tilt skillet for preparing group meals, along with an oversized 40' reclaimed wood dining table.

The Main Barn House offers four bunk bedrooms and three spa like walk-in shower bathrooms., in addition to a dual outdoor shower, popular during warm and cold months alike for an invigorating steam.

Between the two Barn Houses, our modern courtyard offers 2000 square feet of tranquil space overlooking our farm land. Furnished with adirondack chairs, picnic tables, a gas grill and a large gas fire pit, our courtyard is a favorite gathering space for sunrises, sunsets and al fresco dining, year-round.

Nestled behind our lavender garden sits our thatch-roofed outdoor yoga studio, a perfect space for groups and individuals to heal, ground and connect through movement, massage, meditation and more. We have 20 yoga mats and blankets available for guests' use and can make arrangements for private classes.

During their stay, guests are welcome to harvest seasonal produce from our row crops, herbs from our culinary garden and fresh flowers from the field to create their own farm-to-table experience. We also raise families of chickens, ducks, goats and honeybees on the property and love to share fresh eggs with our guests during their stay.

A perfect day starts with a morning yoga class and breakfast overlooking the golden hills, followed by ride to the Sonoma Square on one of our twelve cruiser bicycles for shopping, strolling and wine tasting. For guests looking for more exercise, the abundance of local hills and trails are ideal for group hikes are all within minutes of the farm.

Situated in an Ag Residential zone, our farm offers privacy and isolation, as well as the convenience of being very close to town.

We look forward to hosting you at our beloved farm and would be happy to give you a tour with a call in advance.

About Preston Raisin

I am a native San Franciscan and I spent my life appreciating the holistic, spiritual and healthy life of farming, outdoors and a love for farm hospitality. While I spent most of my years on Wall St, today I spend my time between my Atlas Capital competing against Wall st high fees, lack of transparency and market timing as well as a permaculture life.

My wife is a UCSF trained pediatrician, together, and we are raising five kids and a dog named Ocho. I am a graduate of UCLA, I swim, box and golf when I am not farming and working hard to bring back Sonoma crop agriculture. Sonoma County is a very special, fertile and gentle slice of the greater northern California and US in general. We welcome visitors to our farm even if you are not staying with us to enjoy our seasonal crops, pig roasts and yoga classes. Be sure to sign up for our email newsletter at SonomaBroadwayFarms.com to discover more opportunities to visit the farm!

Preston Raisin purchased this house in 2012

Why Preston Raisin chose Sonoma

Sonoma Broadway Farms was named by me because of the historic reference to farming in Sonoma as well as the influence of my neighbor Williams-Sonoma, the flagship store in Chuck William's vast operation, which is located on the same street as my farm. Early on I strongly felt that removing and restoring my barn structures, working with Sonoma County, in such a key location will be ideal. My guests will enjoy the best of both worlds; feeling isolated like a midwestern farm but within walking distance to downtown Sonoma and surrounding fun activities.

What makes this house unique

After purchasing my farm land in 2012, I began restoring my abundant soil with cover crops, row crops and farm animals. I then worked closely with the county and my neighboring church, in order to pull the required permits for sewer access and building permits. Today we enjoy brand new constructed buildings but with the same farm process of offering over 30 varietals farm grown food to be pulled through our modern kitchen appliances. I built me dream barn houses and planted our surrounding landscapes all on my own vision with careful teamwork with my sub contractors and landscape professionals. I look forward to sharing and continuing my vision with our vrbo guests.

Because I built my structures from the ground up, my vision was driven purely on the beauty and potential of my farm land. My dream was to restore the historic property with a modern eye. Our two Barnhouses were designed to bring the beauty of the outdoors inside with 40-foot vaulted ceilings. We added 46 solar panels to the rooftops of our new buildings, which help us meet all of our energy needs at the farm.

I'm very proud of this special piece of land and the magical space it's become with the help of our community, and I look forward to sharing and continuing my vision with our vrbo guests.

Sonoma Broadway Farm is an excellent experience!

  • 5 of 5

We had a family reunion/celebration with group of 21 family members ranging from 11 to grandparents. The farm was perfect. The huge central kitchen/dining room/living room works well for many activities. The new bocce ball courts were great for outside fun, as was the outdoor fireplace. Being on the farm, with the beautiful gardens and the animals was fun -especially since we were still so close to downtown Sonoma and all it has to offer. We loved the bikes as well. The owner is very generous, flexible, and accommodating, making it easy to customize the experience to the needs of your group.

Thank you Sonoma Broadway Farm!

unique & beautiful property great for groups

  • 5 of 5

I threw a 30th birthday retreat at the farm. Preston was very accommodating of all my odd requests to make this weekend truly special for my friends and me. The property is gorgeous and is completely ready for any type of event with doing nothing to it. We particularly enjoyed evenings by the fire pit and using the yoga studio. We also took the bikes (and rented more) and did a giant bike ride to town- which has a good bike path. While the farm is off of a major road, it feels very secluded and is very easy to come and never want to leave. Thanks Preston for everything! It was an unforgettable weekend!

The most amazing birthday weekend!

  • 5 of 5

12 of my friends and I rented Sonoma Broadway Farms for my 30th birthday, and I couldn't have asked for a better weekend. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was great. Preston was such a pleasure to work with and a great host! We had a delicious chef cooked dinner and the most amazing freshly baked carrot cake. I can't wait to have another event at the farm!

Incredible Sonoma Retreat!!!

  • 5 of 5

A beautifully restored modern farm, that can comfortably accommodate up to 40 guests to suit any purpose!! We were there for a birthday celebration, but I could imagine inspiring corporate retreats and unforgettable family gatherings being equally successful there too. Preston was fantastic to work with, as well as his excellent network of contacts across Sonoma County, who helped us to organize wine tastings, yoga sessions and mouth watering farm-to-table meals (catered by lovely Lauren at Goodness Gracious Catering in Sonoma). It really was a birthday to remember and we will be talking about it for years to come - a heartfelt thank you to Preston and the Team!

The best bachelorette weekend ever!

  • 5 of 5

It's no surprise that all of the other reviews are raving like I'm about to... IT'S NOT TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!! IT'S THE REAL DEAL! Our experience was a 10/10 for so many reasons. Preston, the owner, was super responsive and accommodating throughout the booking process. He answered all of our questions and helped us with recommendations for our stay. When we arrived it was even better than the pictures! The main house is everything you would want for a big group. The kitchen/entertaining space on one side and the bedrooms on the other end. The kitchen was full of anything you would need (spices, pots, pans, serveware). They even stocked the fridge with homemade bloody mary mix for us!! Made from their own veggies on the farm. Such a treat! The decor was gorgeous and brand new! They've thought of EVERYTHING. From the comfy beds, to the bathrooms being stocked with shampoo, conditioner and blow dryers-- you'll feel like you're in a five-star hotel. We had 18 girls and there was plenty of room and bathrooms for all of us. Rudy the groundskeeper went above and beyond to help us throughout our stay-- lighting fires, taking out the trash, and all house questions. The living/entertaining room was perfect for our mini-bridal shower, games, and lots of dancing (with an incredible sonos system). Finally, the location can't be beaten. It's only a mile from the main part of town and very close to some of the best wineries. There's nothing more this place needs. Book longer than you think-- you'll never want to leave!!! THANK YOU SBF!

Our Christmas family gathering st SBF could not have been more amazing. The property is a perfect place for a big family to come together. Preston and his incredible team took very good care of us, meeting every need. The open plan farm house was so spacious, a great place for all to hang out together.

We look forward to a return stay.
