About Vacasa of the Texas Gulf Coast
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers. Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team. Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Lots of Space!
House is in a good location and has lots of space. The spiral staircase is a little scary and not good for small children. Also, downstairs bathroom sink would leak randomly.
Great location. Rough around the edges.
This location was about 1 block from the Gulf and Seawall Blvd. It has a great deck that can be used late in the afternoon after sun goes down. There is plenty of room to sleep 8 to 10 if individuals share a bed. There are plenty of tv’s and space to view. But the bathrooms are not as sparkling clean as I would like. The kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans and dishes and glasses. But the building is not well maintained and there are leaks from air conditioning. It is hard to regulate the air conditioning, but it definitely works. The grill did not work, there was no hair dryer. There were plenty of clean white bath towels, but no kitchen towels or help to maintain the kitchen. It would be nice if there were some beach towels, which one could buy at the Goodwill, about 2 miles away. Again this location makes you forget about some of the deficiencies.
Had a great time here the place was great and cozy! Me and the family had a great time here
Great house with charm
Love the charm of this older house. It was perfect for our family. Loved that it had all queen beds instead of bunk beds. My kids loved the spiral stair case. It was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Lots of dishes and towels. <br />
Only con: my dad has trouble walking and getting up stairs was kinda hard for him. I would definitely rent this home again.
Great location, but thats it :-(
I wanted to like this property, but... there are too many issues. 1. the key to the house only works on the bottom floor. You then have to go up tiny, narrow spiral stairs to get to the main floor and then you can unlock the front door (the front door does not have a key). The stairs are so small that even a small adult would struggle, much less an elderly person. They are so unsafe that my dog could not go up and down. The stairs look homemade and definitely not up to code. 2. There are chickens and a rooster next door. Be prepared to see them on the fence sharing the property. You have to walk past them to get to the door. Did I mention that the rooster crows?! Every morning!! And not at dawn, we are talking 3 AM and other random early morning times. You can hear him no matter where you sleep in the house. 3. The wifi network listed for the house does not show up as an available network. I emailed vacasa about this while we were staying and did not get a response. 4. The bottom floor smells like mold. They tried to cover the mold smell with scents (plugins or something - not sure where the flowery smell was coming from). 5. The bathroom on the first floor is a joke. The sink is right in front of the toilet. Literally you have the sink in your lap or your face depending on how tall you are. A larger person would not be able to use. The only pro to this house is that is is super close to the beach and a short walk to the pleasure pier/restaurants.
We are sorry to see our guest had some concerns with their visit. We believe they must have accessed the backup lockbox instead of the primary lockbox, and we do apologize for this. We are troubleshooting the WiFi problems and should have this addressed soon. We did not notice any unusual smells in the home for a beach house and are sorry to see it offended our guest. We hope to still have another opportunity to host them in the future!
Great bang for the buck
We had 2 families in the house, there was plenty of room, easy walk to the beach, it was clean and all appliances and ac worked well
