Why Jim and Carol Day chose Richmond
Neighbourhood feel with shopping and entertainment with in walking distance the large suite is newly decorated and spotlessly clean. The Sunny sundeck is perfect for a morning coffee or evening glass of wine. Big screen TV and Large DVD library allow for a relaxing evening at home. Gas fireplace make the living room warm and cozy. Seahurst House is well planning with three bedrooms facing the landscaped garden and the living room , dining room and Kitchen facing the front yard. Ensuite laundry makes staying longer a breeze. Walk the neighbourhood take a bus into Richmond City Centre or take the Canada Line skytrain into Vancouver you will have lots to do here. Our top picks are Whale Watching from the Steveston Harbour, shopping in the Outlet Mall , exploring the "Golden Village" which is our China Town, experience true Multiculturism on the Highway to Heaven with temples, mosques, churches and synagodes all existing in harmony or visit HISTORIC Steveston to buy fresh fish off the docks.
What makes this House unique
We only take one rental so you will NEVER share the space with strangers. The price includes the entire three bedroom suite so you can make yourself comfortable and enjoy your privacy. The Koi pond in the backyard is lovely you can sit on the garden swing and feed the fish, watch the hummingbirds frolic in the water fall and laugh at the squirrels as they chase each other through the apple and Cherry trees. Off street parking at the front door and a big ground floor entrance way make entry to your suite very convenient.

A perfect choice for accommodation In Vancouver.
This three room unit is highly commendable. My wife and I stayed here for five nights and have nothing to complain about, except perhaps the mattress being too soft, probably because of age. Yet this is something about personal preference.
This is my first experience and it will be very difficult to beat this experience. But where do I begin. The most important...the hosts. They were fantastic..very friendly, helpful, caring and very welcoming. The property is in a perfect location, beautiful and very well maintained. The cleanliness is next to none. Thank you for opening this property to all of us. We hope to get out there again soon.
The apartment was perfect for us as a family of five. We were able to relax by the fire on the rainy days and slept well at night. It is close to a grocery store, drug store, restaurants etc. It is a little drive from Vancouver but not horrible. Jim and Carol were welcoming too. we will definitely keep this place in mind if we head back to Vancouver area!
A real Home Away from Home
My husband and I spent a week in BC with 2 teenage boys using this flat as home base. PERFECT location; just around the block from Hwy 99 which is how you get everywhere in BC. Really close to grocery, gas, pharmacy, movie theater (for down day) and not too far from Walmart (where food is cheaper--take a dollar coin to get a cart). This home is also just down the street from charming Steveston and the whale boat tours. Be sure to see the Cannery. Richmond is very nice with Asian food and the Night Market is an adventure. The furniture is all very comfortable and in perfect condition. Kitchen well stocked with dishes and you have a cook top, toaster oven and microwave. Great coffee! You won't always need AC but when you do the unit in living room is powerful (and there is a window unit in master bed). You can set up the fans to move air to the smaller bedrooms. Be sure to spend time with the koi in the backyard. Easy parking and they will ask you for what code you want for front door. Good washer/dryer in the unit. When we go back to Vancouver we will stay here again. TIP: do the Segway tour of the UBC Botanical Gardens.
It was everthing we needed!
We are a family of five (children aged 15, 9, and 9), and this house had everything we needed. Carol was extremely friendly and answered any questions very quickly. The backyard is great (waterfall and koi pond were a big hit!). The house is located close to shopping, the airport (but not too close), and access to BC Highway 99. Overall a great place to stay. Thanks Carol!
Perfect House Perfect Hosts
My wife and I spent 6 wonderful nights in the second floor of Carol and Jim's beautiful house in gorgeous Vancouver. Carol and Jim stay downstairs and are the perfect hosts. You don't know that they are even there unless you need them. If you need them, they are readily available, kind, courteous and helpful. Dealing with Carol was like dealing with a close friend! Their communication was flawless and their home was spotless. Everything that we needed for a wonderful stay!
