About the property

Clean, private and spacious downtown studio charmer

Clean, private and spacious, this studio guest house charmer is located only a few minutes from all the downtown action and also in close proximity to some of the best food and coffee spots. This quiet studio will be perfect for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.

Perfectly cozy, clean and private. This studio guest house is totally separate from the main house with its own garage, entrance and backyard space fenced off and locked. We took care to try and keep the charm of this historic house, while giving it a modern look. The kitchen has a mini fridge, toaster oven, hot plate for cooking with one pot or one pan and microwave for your basic needs and cups, plates and other basic necessities. There is one large space with a comfy queen mattresses, couch, dresser, TV, which is hooked up to a roku and has Hulu and Netflix access, we do not have regular tv or cable, and dining space for 2. The kitchen area connects the bathroom to the living space. When you walk into the studio, it's open, light and welcoming. We want to make sure that you feel right at home. You have the use of the entire studio and can enjoy the cooler weather in your own backyard space. The garage will fit a small or mid sized vehicle. Please note you do have to enter the house through the garage only and the garage is located at the back of the house through an alley.

The convention center is an 8 min drive from our home or 45 min walk. Many of our guests attend the convention center and easily drive or use lyft or uber or the nearby bus system.

About Diana Brandt

I'm a professional food eater and writer in Arizona, I created Arizona Foodie out of the passion I have for the profession and those in it! While I love to bake and cook, I prefer to leave it to the professionals and eat what they whip up and also take some pictures of it. When I'm not eating or spending time with Chefs, I'm playing with my two little boys or hanging out with my husband. We love to travel around but try to keep our visits close to the beach. Growing up in San Diego and Seattle, it's no wonder I'm a lover of food and the beach.

Why Diana Brandt chose Central City

We fell in love with this property because of its historic charm but also how modern and open it felt inside. It was also important that it be located near downtown, it's super close encanto park and so much action around town but it's in a quiet neighborhood too.

Guestbook comments from the owner

This is a very cute house that is clean, comes with any amenity you could need and is located near fun eateries. We had a great time visiting with family and will tell others to also consider this home when visiting Phoenix.

Perfect stay!

  • 5 of 5

Everything was wonderful! Having the garage was so convenient and an excellent amenity. The living space was decorated well, had everything you need for a short or long stay, and a comfortable bed. Would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Very nice spacious studio

  • 3 of 5

This was a great vrbo studio with nice queen bed and all the amenities we needed for our night stay in Phoenix. The reason for the three stars is some safety concerns. The access for the studio was through a back alley that was a little seedy - in only one night there we saw three homeless people in that back alley. I recognize that is under limited control of the owner but ny wife did remark that if she were traveling as a young single woman She wouldn’t be comfortable with that arrangement. It would maybe be better if the owner allowed access to the studio from the Main Street. Other than that we found the property quite nice. They even left us with a coffee maker with a few keirig cups which was a nice touch.

Owner's Response: Thanks Paul! I wish you would have communicated with us during your stay, as we do list that you are more than welcome to access the property from the Main Street and through the back yard. You just have to enter from the garage at check in initially and then you can pick from there. Sorry about the people in the alley, we put up those three spotlights in the back as well to keep the alley as bright as possible at night and deter any lingering. Thanks again for staying with us!

Exactly as described!

  • 5 of 5

This was perfect for my trip. I was traveling alone and had a conference to attend at the Phoenix Convention Center. It had everything needed for my stay, was very clean, and had cute little touches. The price is unbeatable for what you get here. Thank you for sharing your space!

Property as described- nothing more and nothing less

  • 4 of 5

We had a pleasant stay at this property. The only two issues we had were: 1. There was no other mirror than the one in the bathroom- another mirror (preferably a full body one) would have been an extra plus. 2. The temperature was not very constant- at night it would get warm then cold, then back to warm. Having extra fans helped. I would stay here again.

Spacious well thought out space!

  • 5 of 5

There so many good things to point out I will just list our favorites. The bed is incredible; my wife and I never agree on the right firmness of bed but we both loved this one. The set up of the room, the decorations, and the access to things that make it feel like home are the best parts of this cute little house. She really thought of everything. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay in Phoenix.
