It was exceptionally perfect if that makes any sense. I would stay there again without a doubt, wonderful view, clean , had everything needed, wish i would have booked a longer time, and we will be coming back again.
Location, location, location!!!
Our family stayed at this condo from March 26-April 4, 2018. The condo had everything we needed. We brought our 4 kids with us and used the kitchen multiple times a day to make our meals instead of eating out. This made our trip affordable and the extra money we saved allowed us to rent a van and tour the island. We were able to see the fireworks from the near by lagoon. It was breathtaking. Waikiki beach is extremely busy with shoppers and sunbathers. The Ilikai is near the marina so it was a lot less busy. We would stay at this condo again. We loved watching the sunrise and set from the lenai! Mahalo!
Nice condo with view of ocean
My husband and I stayed here with our two adult children. This condo, located in the Ilikai hotel is clean with a nice balcony overlooking the marina with a view of the ocean in the background. The hotel courtyard is directly below. There is air conditioning in the room which you need. This condo is listed as a one bedroom on the 5th floor. It is actually a studio suite which has an accordion-style divider, dividing the two double beds and the living room. So if you want the "privacy" of having a "bedroom", you will be disappointed. If privacy doesn't matter to you then it is a fine condo. There are two pools. One is a sunbathing pool only with loungers, and the other pool is for swimming. The pool closes early too. There is no hot tub. There is a restaurant downstairs, good coffee shop, a few other shops as well. Fireworks are on Fridays but you can't see them from the balcony. You will have to go down to the outdoor courtyard by the railing to see them. The condo is not real close to the Waikiki strip where everything is bustling, especially at night. It will be a 20-25 minute walk or you can take a city bus or jump on the pink line trolley for $2. We usually bought a one day bus pass for $5.50 daily per person. The city bus will take you anywhere you want to go. It will even go to places around the island. We also used Uber rather than the taxi; much cheaper and quick service. Download the Uber app and you will have to use your phone. Apps for Uber and the city bus (The Bus) is so efficient because it actually tracks and tells you when they will be arriving. So it's handy to have data and your phone in working order. Saves headaches! It's a tropical island so sometimes we would get bursts of rain here and there...I learned to carry a small rain poncho with me. There are tons of brand name stores in the Ala Moana mall as well as down the Waikiki strip. A shoppers paradise! There is a Costco and Walmart here as well. There are also shops all over in the hotels. Hawaii is expensive. Your credit card will need a vacation when you get home! Aloha!
Thank you for sharing your experience. Glad you enjoyed my place! If you ever come back to Hawaii and you need another condo with better privacy please let me know. I have few other properties that offers that. Otherwise this condo is like any other one bedroom in this building and offers same sq footage and same layout. Was great to have you here!
Great position!!!! Unfortunately unable to see the fireworks, however not hard to walk over to the Hilton. Dainora and her assistant were very attentive at any time of the day or time, greatly appreciated. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Waikiki
Thank you Michelle for sharing your experience. Glad you enjoyed your stay!
This condo has beautiful sunset views and Fireworks can be seen from the lobby which is short elevator ride away. If you ever come back here- I can suggest you different condo where you will be able to see Fireworks from your balcony.
Amazing place with stunning view!!! We loved it!
I live in Honolulu and reserved this condo for my parents traveling from abroad because I loved the pictures of the unit and it’s location. The property manager Dionara was very professional and sent us instructions about a month in advance so we didn’t have to worry about it. We followed up few days before and checked in without any problem. The place was very clean and cosy, with spacious and equipped kitchen and amazing view from the lanai. We fell in love with the condo right away. My parents had a great time. The beach is a minute walk, there are several pools in the building and tons of restaurants around. Couldn’t make a better decision with the quality and price. Will love for the family to stay there next year!
Thank you for such a lovely review! It was great to have you here. Aloha!
A wonderful stay!
Booking with Dainora was a breeze & her liaison Agnes was so kind and helpful in getting us checked in and answering our questions. The space is clean, bright and has an incredible view. And while we didn’t use it, there is a full-kitchen for those that would like to make a meal while there. There is a great coffeeshop (that also serves acai bowls), a diner-style restaurant downstairs (with yummy pancakes & loco moco), a torch lighting and live music playing in the courtyard in the early evening. It’s so quiet at night (unlike the Hilton next door), we slept so well. The marina and beach are close by and food/shopping options very accessible. Dainora was even thoughtful enough to leave us a box of Hawaiian Host chocolates — we felt very well-cared for. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!
The Ilikai is a landmark oceanfront high rise hotel & condominium at the western end of Waikiki in Honolulu, Hawai'i. When it opened in 1964, the Ilikai was the first luxury high rise hotel in Hawai'i. The Ilikai is also well known, outside of Honolulu travelers and residents, for appearing prominently in the opening credits of the long running TV series Hawaii Five-O. The show's star, Jack Lord, is standing on the Ilikai penthouse balcony when a helicopter dramatically rises up behind him. This same sequence is used in the opening credits of the 2010 remake, with Alex O'Loughlin in the lead role. Situated on the bus route at the gateway to Waikiki the Ilikai is conveniently located a short walk from the famous Ala Moana Shopping Center, Ala Moana Beach Park, Honolulu Convention Center & all the other well known Waikiki Beach attractions. It is ten minutes drive from downtown Honolulu and Aloha Tower Marketplace, the International Market Place, Honolulu Zoo, and the Waikiki.
