This apartment was perfect for me...plenty of room, fantastic location and spotless. Everything I needed was there. I heard footsteps above me on occasion but no conversations or tv sounds. Traveling alone, it was actually rather comforting to know someone was close by. The park just two blocks away was beautiful and a favorite stop on my morning walks. The bed was comfortable and having a tv in the bedroom was quite a treat. Carrie, who obviously has property management experience was easy to work with. This is definitely where I will stay for any future trips to SB.

I was in Santa Barbara for 2 months working on a project. The property was perfect for all of our needs. The property is situated on the northern side of State and 1/2 a block from the State Street Shuttle Service. The assigned parking space was a nice amenity. The owner was attentive and available as needed. Overall, my wife and I had an awesome experience and I highly recommend the property.
Great Basement Apartment in Downtown Santa Barbara
This is a great semi-basement 2 bedroom apartment in downtown Santa Barbara. Carrie, the owner, met us when we checked in and showed us the apartment, the shared back yard and the laundry room. The apartment was clean and functional. Kitchen was put to good use the 3 weeks we stayed there.
The apartment is half a block away from State Street. It's very close to Alice Keck Park, Granada Theater, the Santa Barbara Courthouse, and the Santa Barbara Mission among other attractions. It's about a 17 block walk to the beach which isn't bad at all. There are 2 bikes on the property which you can use to get around town.
There was 1 off street parking space which was perfect for our plug in electric car.
There's no dish washer in the unit but that wasn't a big deal. Also you can hear some foot traffic from the main house upstairs but not much else.
A Little Gem
The best thing about thing about this apartment is it's location. It is approx 4 blocks north of Victoria Street which is the north end of downtown Santa Barbara. Walkable to a grocery store and restaurants. Near a bus stop. The apartment was small but just fine for the two of us for a month long stay. Enough space to spread out. Very well appointed and it had everything we needed. Loved having a laundry on the property, as well as off street parking. Downside.... it is a semi basement meaning there are other renters above you.that you can hear walking around. Owner told us in advance and the couple above was relatively quiet. No dishwasher. Price was very good. We would stay again. Owner responsive to questions and needs.
