Our condo is in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. You will be close to Mountains, Hiking, Mountain Biking, Downhill and Cross Country Skiing.

Our luxurious condo is spacious, well appointed and located in the wonderful and peaceful Solara resort.

Come for a weekend getaway or a weeks vacation, eat in and prepare meals using the well appointed kitchen, BBQ on the patio, or eat out in one of Canmore's many restaurants. Whatever your reason you wont be disappointed staying here.

The space

The condo is a spacious 955 sq ft main floor unit featuring 2 bedrooms (King and Queen), 2 en suite bathrooms and a pullout couch. The condo is kitted out with everything you will need to relax and enjoy your surroundings.

If you feel like eating in you will find all you need to prepare and enjoy your meals including top of the line appliances, cutlery and crockery, or if its warm enjoy a BBQ on the patio.

Get some rest in the comfortable beds or cozy up by the electric "fireplace", read a book or watch some TV.

Explore lovely Canmore. Tired of big box stores and chain restaurants? Downtown Canmore is full of unique shops, restaurants and bars. Canmore is small with a compact core that is easily walkable.

You can park your car in the underground parkade in the resort. No trailers, campers, ATVs, dirt bikes or other such motorized vehicles are permitted in the parkade or on common property.

"Downtown" is a 20 min walk or a 3 min drive.

Elevation Place - the rec centre for swimming, hot tub and mountain climbing is a 10 min walk.

Drive time from Canmore to Banff is 25 mins, Lake Louise is about an hour.

For 2017, enjoy free access to all national parks in Canada

This is a great property to own and vacation at. The finishes are high end, the condo has everything we need for a weekend away or a month long vacation. The resort has numerous amenities, is close to downtown Canmore and although it doesnt have a view of the mountains, you know you are in the Rocky's. Conveniently located just outside the Banff National Park gates, you are close to the action.

We do not have any baby gear in the condo, however, there is a company in Canmore that rents baby strollers, cribs, high chairs, playpens, etc at reasonable rates by the day or week. Snuggle Bug Baby Gear.

great place to stay

We rented this unit for a few days skiing in Lake Louise - an hours drive from Canmore so it is a great great place to be for skiing the area be it Lake Louise, Sunshine, Nakiska or Norquay.

There were 4 adults and the layout of the unit - two bedrooms with two bathrooms was idea with nobody tripping over anyone during our stay. There is a pull out in the living room for kids if needed.

The ceilings are high and the window blinds are such that you can either lower them or raise them depending on what you want to do. The kitchen was well appointed, however the knife set could be a bit better (not so flexible blades); there is an electric BBQ outside on the patio which worked well (temps were below freezing) - big enough for two large steaks at a time. The dining table easily accommodated 4 adults. The kitchen is ideal of one cook but there are chairs around the island that people can use while sipping wine and giving directions to the cook :). Speaking of wine there is a wine cooler beside the fridge which I haven't seen in such a place before - a great addition!! (good for beer and cider as well :) )

The area the unit is located in is very quiet - I expected to hear the nearby trains rumbling by now and then but there was none - grocery shopping and main street where the restaurants and bars are located are pretty close - 10 to 15 min walk; 5 min drive.

The underground parkade has a very high ceiling so any car or SUV with a ski box can easily get into the structure. There are trollies for taking your gear up tot he unit in one trip - albeit they may be at a premium during a very busy weekend.

If we ever repeat a trip such as this we will most certainly try to rent this unit once again.

Very nicely decorated and updated. Near downtown Canmore. Great location

The reasons we didn’t give it 5 stars were all the towels... bath and kitchen were heavily damp upon our arrival. We had to throw them in the drier and clean the lint screen. Also, no sponge for dishes. We used a dish rag but a sponge would’ve been easier. Overall the place was great!

Very nice condo!

The condo was great with high end finishes and all of the supplies we could need (coffee, etc). It was a wonderful place to stay. Also I enjoyed being in Canmore, which is out of the crazy Banff traffic and has great restaurants and a lovely French bakery (Le fournil)

Home away from home!

Our family have thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The condo is super clean and tastefully decorated as other reviewer stated. The condo has everything we need to eat in, as there are couple times we are tired from hiking and don’t feel like eating out. The patio grill is good to cook up a few steaks and kebabs. Thanks Mark for making the condo available!

Clean, tastefully decorated
