We were a group of 4 adults. We had a great time here during our 1 week stay. House was very clean, and we made many day trips in the area. enjoyed the hot pond, and the snorkeling. Went to see the firehose lava flow (very close). One small problem was quickly addressed by Jeana. We would definitely return to this rental in the future.

Relaxing and Beautiful

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at this property for 1 week and enjoyed every minute of it. The gorgeous grounds and the beautiful home made my Hawaii vacation worth every minute and every dollar spent!! Very tranquil and relaxing. I especially loved outdoor shower along with the beautiful landscaping, the avocado trees, and lemon trees on the property. This is the ideal property for couples who just want to get away!!! Just beautiful!!!

Tranquil and gorgeous!

  • 5 of 5

We miss it already. Just a beautiful property as stated in other reviews. Located in very quiet subdidvision--just beautiful inside and out. At night solar lights show off the palms and little frogs serenade you to sleep. Great location--drive the red road--go down to end of 130--we met interesting homeowners who rebuilt after the last lava flow burnt down their homes. Tidal pools are nearby for snorkeling--very neat outdoor market outside of Pahoa on Saturdays--Volcanos National Park near by--old town Hilo--The Botanical Garden is incredible and always this beautiful Hale Ho'okupu to get back to every day. Loved it!

Great property, well appointed, everything as advertised, perfect for family or two couples.

  • 5 of 5

The Hale Ho'okupu is a beautiful house and property, perfectly located where you can easily drive to several sites. Good food nearby, great markets, snorkeling, hikes, natural hot pools, parks etc. the house is well appointed for relaxing and eating on site (but bring your own bottle opener). House comes with washer and dryer, lawn chairs to borrow. Lots of room outside to enjoy the garden, bird watch, or watch t.v. We will definitely recommend to friends and would stay here again. Thanks to the owner for providing this property for vacation.

Condo in the jungle

  • 4 of 5

Beautifully decorated and tranquil condo in the jungle. If you are looking for a spot to get away from it all this is it. Don't miss the Kapoho Tide Pools nearby! At night we were serenaded by the the bugs, birds and other jungle creatures. There is no AC, so if the winds are not blowing it can get hot inside the rooms at night. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here.
