Just a few doors down from Rock House, Da Vine wine and sushi shop, and The Landing, and a few blocks from the legendary pink sands beaches, Coral House is right where you want to be.

Long Weekend Stay with 6 Month Old Baby

Coral House was gorgeous and amazing. From the stylish and bright home decor, fabulous artwork, meticulous attention to design detail, amazing seashell mirrors, it is clear that the owners have put some serious time and attention into making this the perfect place to stay on Harbour Island. It is an historic old Harbour Island home that has been updated, however, it maintains the charismatic charm and feel of a bahamas beach house. We loved it!

There are two bedrooms upstairs with their own baths, and two bedrooms downstairs that share a shower but have their own toilets and sinks. There is also a refreshing outdoor shower that my husband opted for every time. It was the perfect setup for us (two couples and our 6 month old baby) We could've easily had another couple join us, too.

We did plan in advance a couple things to make it perfect for the baby: We took our sound machine and monitor and rented a pack and play from Eadie at the island children's rental company. No one was bothered by our baby that still woke up occasionally at night and we loved being able to swim with her in the house pool. When the baby napped, we could still hang out by the pool (with the monitor) and enjoy the vacation. It was great because half of the day, there was some shade in the pool with a built in pool bench and we could all be outside but keep the baby in the shade.

The pool bar was awesome because we could create our fun, cold cocktails outside by the pool without tracking wet feet into the house. There is also a laundry/bathroom in the pool house which was nice for using the restroom; we were able to have fresh suits and towels everyday and keep the baby's things clean, too.

The beach and fun lunch/dinner spots are a short walk, or quick golf cart jaunt. Downtown and shops were walkable and it was great to see the town by foot and golf cart. We got coffee each morning at Cocoa, or Bahamas Coffee Roasters, ate lunch at Sip Sip and dinner at Valentine's and The Landing. We picked up steaks and salad from the shop and grilled out at the house one night, too, which was nice to enjoy the outdoor table and chairs by the back patio and pool at the house- something we wouldn't be able to do at a resort or hotel. There is also sushi and a wine shop right down the hill from the house.

We will absolutely be back to visit Harbour Island! Coral House was perfect for us and we can't wait to return!
