Harmony House is 950 sqft guesthouse with a long history that has been updated. Although largely off the tourist radar, Central City has long been an important thread in the city's cultural tapestry. This is one of the city's major African American neighborhoods and a major focal point for 2nd Lines and Mardi Gras Indian culture. Central City is seeing a revitalization of urban blight. Lots of seniors and children are around, so please respect the neighbors at all times.
950 sq feet slave quarters house with two additions thru the decades and finally rehabbed one year ago with modern comforts. Now, this one bedroom is not a shotgun-style house. It is a sweet comfortable oasis for being close to many celebrations and sites
The Harmony Guesthouse is connected to the main house by our yard. The yard is in the process of being redone. We do have two dogs, two ducks, and a four year & one-year-old that play in this yard. There is a door in the bedroom the opens into the yard. Guest can hear our creatures from inside. The guesthouse has the main door facing the street so you may choose to never enter the yard.
