Welcome to the Noko Château! This cozy retreat is centrally located in a quiet neighborhood just minutes from Nokomis Beach, the grocery store, and many lovely restaurants. This is where we like to spend weekends away from it all and we would be delighted to share it with you as well!
A Florida style home with a full sized/fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms (each equipped with a new queen mattress and crisp white linens), one newly remodeled bathroom with a deep bath tub & beautiful marble floors and a spacious sun-filled dining/Florida sitting room. The front yard boasts a true Florida vibe with a tropical landscape, the backyard hosts a mature oak which produces a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The property is lined with cedar & cypress trees, and a variety of fruit trees (avocado, mango, Florida peaches, coconuts and soursops). Just another reason to visit us in the summer(!!) as the fruits ripen mainly during the summer months.
There is a washer and dryer for your use. Toiletries are provided (shampoo, conditioner, soap, toilet paper, etc.). There are two beach cruisers available (along with a lock). Beach chairs, a cooler, umbrella, fishing poles and beach towels are provided.
The house is equipped with WiFi, a TV with basic cable and a DVD player.
Pets are considered, however an additional pet fee does apply.
There is a key code entry which will be provided two weeks prior to your arrival after the booking confirmation.
While we do not live in the area, we are available to answer questions via phone or text and can connect you with our local liaison if necessary.
In the kitchen on the welcome board, we provide a list of our favorite restaurants, beaches, biking destinations, attractions and any local knowledge we think would be beneficial/helpful to your stay.
The neighborhood is very quiet. There is a park a few blocks away with tennis courts, basketball courts, a playground, picnic pavilions, and grills. Also nearby is access to "The Legacy Trail" a paved bike trail spanning from Venice to South Sarasota. There is a grocery store less than a mile away (Publix) and the beach is just two miles away. There are some restaurants within a mile and many more options in downtown Venice which is about 4 miles away.
There are many options within biking distance and also a nearby bus stop on the "SCAT" route, which is the bus transit system for Sarasota County. Although those options are available, it is highly recommended to have a vehicle to make the most of what the area has to offer.
