About michelle Stone

We moved to Hawaii for fresh air, ocean activities, and stress free environment. We came from California, I grew up in San Jose and then moved to modesto and was there for ten years. Plenty of fresh fruit there in the Stanislaus county and memorable people. Alas we had to move as my health was not good being in that area which many find they have severe problems with the air. So we went for it a pilgrimage! We Enjoy travelers from around the world and amazing healthy living taught by so many so freely! I know you enjoy our home as your home, it will suely be a memorable experience!

Unusual two storey wooden house in quiet area with rock pool swimming.

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying in this house, which was plenty big enough for our whole family and equippped with beach towels, adequate kitchenware and laundry facilities which we needed after traveling for a bit. Being very close to the ocean, the house is cooled by breezes, and fans in each room meant we didn't need the air conditioner (which was slightly noisy anyway, like all air conditioners). I loved how quiet the area was, and especially liked sitting in the front porch gazing at the coconut palms. The house is in a residential area, away from shops etc, so you have to be prepared to drive for supplies, although shops and restaurants in Pahoa aren't far. We also went down to Uncle Roberts on a Wednesday night about a half hour away, with lots of local food and music which was fun. Michelle was lovely, letting us arrive at the house a bit earlier, and being understanding when something broke accidentally. The internet stopped one day and she responded quickly.

We really enjoyed this beautiful home located so close to the ocean. Quiet area with lush vegetation. Excellent communication from owner. Fun having the little fish in the pond in the front yard nibble on our feet. Would definitely stay here again or recommend it to others.

A charming house in a stunning nook of Hawaii!

  • 5 of 5

This little dollhouse was absolute perfection for our stay in Kapoho. It is just a shot stroll to the entrance of the tide pools. Each day I floated in these pool marveling at the thriving coral and sea life.

The house was immaculately clean and provided everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen is well-stocked. There are snorkeling supplies provided. I live on Oahu and have rented many places throughout the Hawaiian Islands. This was by far my favorite. The house was well built and maintained (unusual for many rentals), with a beautifully landscaped yard. The two ponds provide tranquility while sitting on the front porch. I even had the little fish clean my feet in the morning. So fun! I enjoyed chatting with the people who walked by the house in the morning. Such a friendly little enclave.

Michelle was so friendly and responsive to our needs. It was a breeze communicating with her.

I hope to come back and spend a month or two in this house. I have fallen in love with the space and the neighborhood.

A home away from home

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed the house and the location. The kitchen had everything we needed, it was also nice that there were little odds and ends in the kitchen from previous vacationers such as, butter ketchup...

Only worries for us were the wine opener was broken, and the kitchen sink has a bit of a leak. I listed those in order of concern. The wine opener could have been a problem, but you know what they say, where there's a will...

Awesome, quiet house

  • 5 of 5

The house was so clean and cute and quiet for sleeping. The tide pools are just a couple minute walk away with AMAZINGLY beautiful snorkeling sights. We were right in the middle between Hilo and the lava flow! 1/2 hour in the direction of the lava flow was the highlight. We drove there after dinner in Pahoa, parked our car, rode bikes during sunset for 4 miles to the lava flow (in the pouring rain:-)) then walked a few minutes to witness the lava pouring into the ocean! Then we rode the bikes back to our car and drove the 1/2 hour back. It is just under an hour to volcano national park and also to Akaka Falls.
