About Chantal GIRAUD-MALLET
We are a couple from Rouen, with young kids and we were finding a second home close to the sea and the countryside. We fell in love with this genuine cottage that, it has to be said, was in a real bad state...It was meant to disappear until we've bought it. We committed to respect both the environment and the Norman heritage, and I think we succeed...
Chantal GIRAUD-MALLET purchased this House in 2002

Excellent holiday house!
My husband and I plus my son and his family had a wonderful week at Chantal and Bruno’s house.
The house is very comfortable and the kitchen is particularly well equipped. The grandchildren (6 and 8) enjoyed all the toys and games provided, in particular the football table! There were also lots of games for playing in the garden which was large and great for ball games and frisbee.
Ermenouville is located just 15 minutes from Veules les Roses which has a nice beach and splash pool for children. The roads around the village are great for cycling - very little traffic.
Thank you Chantal and Bruno!
Delightful stay in fascinating traditional building
Whilst this style of building seems to be traditional in this part of Normandy, to English eyes it is a delight. This project could easily grace "Grand Designs". The accommodation has an exterior that has been lovingly restored and an interior that has been thoughtfully modernised. If you like sleeping or living surrounded by old beams then this is for you. The kitchen is fully equipped, there is a large open plan kitchen / dining / living area which is supplemented by a mezzanine play area including a table football machine. The garden is huge, there are stacks of things for the children to play with, more glasses and plates than you will know what to do with, deckchairs, umbrellas for shade, etc, etc. The owner is charming and helpful. The village is quiet ( no facilities apart from the golf course ) However there are two supermarkets - one very large - that are easily accessible by car. I also liked the location of the village. Dieppe, Rouen Fecamp and all the accepted sights of the area are accessible via a short or reasonable drive.
A beautiful property which completely lived up to the photos and description.
We had a fantastic time staying in Ermenouville, the house was perfect for us and the garden also exceptional. Chantal and Bruno were very helpful and answered all questions we had about the property, before and during our stay. Within easy reach of St-Valery-en-Caux, Dieppe and Rouen, we felt very at home for the week we were there and would recommended it to anyone looking for their own little piece of Normandy. Thank you!
Stunning cottage in the Normandy countryside
Three generations of our family stayed here for a week in August 2017. Whilst its in a quiet village without any amenities it is only a few miles from the coast and local shops and a supermarket are only a short drive away. The cottage was beautifully restored and had all the modern conveniences including a dishwasher, microwave and a decent size fridge freezer. The cottage also had lots of toys for the children to play with on the mezzanine level on a cool day and lots of games to play in the garden on a warm one. We had a lovely relaxing week here although it might be a bit too quiet for some. A car is essential as there isn't much in the village except for the church and a golf course. You are also on the cycle routes in the area. A lovely place to stay for a relaxing holiday.
Fabulous family orientated house
A wonderful large and airy house equipped with everything you need for a great holiday. We stayed with our daughter, son in law and 3 grand-daughters 9, 6 and 3 who had a fabulous time with the toys and bikes and loved the garden. The interior is a delight and the themed bedding made the girls day. All in all a fabulous well equipped house and Chantal could not have been more welcoming. We hope to return soon.

beautiful house with huge garden
This is a truly beautiful house, very well equipped and everything working well. The beds were made up so nicely on our arrival in lovely linens and the children had boys and girls style linen for them. We had such a relaxing time because there were loads of toys and games for the children to keep busy both inside and outside the house. The garden is huge and beautiful, with a swing, sandpit, basket ball stand, sit and ride and lots of balls and bats to play with. The location is so peaceful. We all absolutely loved it here. Chantal and Bruno are the loveliest people to deal with. They were so friendly, helpful and accommodating. We will surely be back! Thanks so much!
