About Lee Anne Walker,
I live on the other level of this house. I love politics and art. I was a woman attorney in a wheelchair for many years. I also used to own an art gallery. I retired early due to disability and need this income. My house is full of art and antiques that I love. I can direct you to artists, gallery tours, and festivals. As well as the ski resorts which have year round activities. I enjoy meeting people. I want to be helpful. Tell me if you need anything. My friends and I will have a nice place waiting to welcome you. We can hold items shipped here to surprise your family, or swap the bed in the 3rd bedroom for a table to work at. Incidentally, I have to ask that there be no smoking or pets. I have allergies which are serious, and I will be affected whether or not I see the problem.

Why Lee Anne Walker, chose Cottonwood Heights
I love how beautiful it is just driving down my street. The intense fall colors of the mountain oak and aspen in fall, the snow capped mountains leading to the ski season, Christmas lights. The glamour of New Years and the nearby Sundance Film Festival. And this cedar board house in a yard full of aspen forest gives such a comfortable, protected feel when its time to go home and curl up with hot cocoa.
What makes this Apartment unique
I love art and have known some of Utah's famous artists. There are some nice pieces in the apartment. Please don't take them, but I might be persuaded to sell something. Or to tell you their stories. We can hold items shipped here to surprise your family. We can swap the bed in the third bedroom for a table to work on.

Welcoming and organized
The place is very spacious and easy to find in a very cool location. Would stay again
These were very lovely people I would welcome anytime.
Great host, nice location, quiet neighborhood
Lee Anne is a great host. The property is in a very quiet neighborhood, and in a good location. It was clean, quiet, and we will definitely consider staying again in the future! Thanks!
Clean, comfortable, close to ski resorts
Very nice and clean apartament, had everything we need, very convenient location, close to ski resorts. Our two families with kids slept there comfortably. Lee Anne was very nice and helpfull. We will definitely consider for future trips.
These are the nicest people in the world. You will love them. They will be good to your home and your neighbors.
Stayed here for a family ski trip, the location was very convenient for going to Alta/Snowbird/Brighton/Solitude, Lee Anne was very helpful and accessible to our needs, if you are looking for an inexpensive option located near the ski resorts this is a great option.
Your group was wonderful. Very nice people, very clean and responsible. I would recommend them anytime. Happy New Year!
Just barely better than camping. Not worth
Everything was ancient, and very out dated. There is no a/c and only a fan in the living room. It was unbearably hot! We couldn't even open any of the windows except for one in the kitchen, because there were no screens in the windows. The kitchen was not well stocked at all, all appliances were very old as well. One of the heavy cupboard doors fell off the hinges and onto my daughter's head when she opened it, giving her a big bump, and causing her to have to stay in bed the whole next day as well. All the doors stick so bad you can barely get them open or closed. I could go on, but overall was not a good experience, was not worth the cost.
We bent over backwards to please this high maintenance guest, and would have forgiven all but the mess.
He arrived hours late so missed orientation by Linda. Upon arriving, he said he just wanted the keys in a hurry because he had a carload of kids to attend to.
Soon he called complaining that there was no food. He was asking for stuff I had in my own kitchen so I told him to come up and get it. And very gently pointed out that the website clearly states rent does not include food services.
Soon enough he wanted 9 chairs at the kitchen table. There were 3 at the table, 3 more handy. And two sofas with coffee tables in the same open area. He asked me about eating in the living room. Fine by me. We did take him a plastic table, and a folding chair, and finally 8 upholstered folding chairs like The Sons of the Utah Pioneers use for banquets. Linda observed the need for a high chair and went and searched her attic for hers. It was gone. I then hunted one down.
Linda and I did not feel or hear about bad heat in the unit in all her trips.
It took me until today to figure out "stuck doors". There is a double sided lock on the door connecting the in law to my house. And there is a "door to my locked storage room" which is mentioned in the pictures of the unit. He had the keys to the unit but not my personal spaces. The double french entrance doors have to be opened in the right order, and the one has some metal sliders to further secure it against forcible entry. The entry one is stiff but not necessary to kick or force once you see it done.
The cupboard door has no latch: just a magnetic fastener. It has an upgrade in hinges: the doors lift off if pushed up and twisted sideways, contrary to any normal use. When the father called to report the incident, I told him to take her to the local ER, but he said he had enough experience with kids to know she was fine. The wooden trim broke off the door when it hit the floor. (We left styrofoam cups up there in case they were not dish washing people. To re-butt "not well stocked".)
Old stuff? Antiques and classics! Cedar chests, fine art. The beds are new, bedding replaced quickly. It all works.
I got big bills for a broken door, Linda's help, and a bad review from people who left a stomach churning mess. Grime and crumbs everywhere. Kid poo. And bloody sheets, bloody toilet, and bloody feminine products in trash. She beat up the kitchen door and laid around for a day but didn't tell Dad why at 14.
My Ski trip
I totally appreciate how LeeAnn and her staff treated us. They treated us like family. I recommend this place with open arms!!! Easy access to the slopes. Clean and comfortable place.
there is a public transit system in Salt Lake with buses and some light rail that can be helpful. You can catch the bus to Snowbird nearby.
there is always something going on, from Oktoberfest at Snowbird right through Halloween, Thanksgiving, the ski season, Christmas and New Years, the Sundance Film Festival, etc etc. is nearby. Summer recreations of hiking, biking, rock climbing, horseback riding. This house is close to the action, and a refuge from crowds and noise.
