The living room, which is quite separate from the bedroom, features a queen size sofa sleeper, which allows the apartment to sleep four people in total. The bathroom is located halfway between the bedroom and the living room. Amenities include cable television, air conditioning, private entrance, fully equipped kitchen (dishes, cookware, utensils, coffeemaker with coffee, teapot with assorted teas, complimentary toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, bath soap, body wash, toothpaste, mouthwash). Guests will find fresh pastries upon check in,, bottled water. The property is walking distance from the best shopping district on Magazine Street, and from the St. Charles Avenue streetcar line. The host provides a guestbook with information on area attractions, bars, restaurants, museums and more. The host is available to make recommendations.

Why Terry Merlenbach chose East Riverside

This is one of the older, more established neighborhoods in the city, with a very low crime rate and close proximity to everything from owner-operated shops and restaurants, spas, coffee shops, hospitals, clinics, public transportation, universities, parks, the zoo, and so much more. I love this area because of the combination of residential privacy and commercial activity just a couple blocks away. It is also very easy to reach downtown and the French Quarter.

I chose this house because it has the unique ambiance of old New Orleans, with beautifully maintained hardwood floors, huge windows, sky-high ceilings and so much more. Guests get the true feeling of New Orleans living when they stay here.

                                                      This little apartment was very very cute and very well kept. My sisters stayed here for a family wedding and they loved it. The hosts were incredibly nice and welcoming and provided numerous amenities with the space, including wine. The apartment is in a great location and has its own secure and private entrance. A great place to stay in Uptown NOLA!!

They were respectful of the property and enjoyed many of the amenities that I provide for my guests such as mouthwash, blow dryer, coffee, tea, wine to name a few.                                                       I can’t sing enough praise for our lovely hosts Terry and Rick. They took such good care of us during our Mardi Gras stay. Complete with libations and a King Cake on Fat Tuesday!

                                                      Upon our arrival we were greeted with warm hugs and a tour of our sweet home away from home. Newly renovated, Terry and Rick run a first rate property and their years of service in the hospitality industry shows. A great apartment, complete with a comfy bed, spacious bathroom, bright living room and fully functioning kitchenette, we had all the perks of a hotel, but better with so much more.

                                                      Conveniently located a block off Magazine Street in a quiet location, we were within walking distance to all sorts of shops, restaurants and bars. The Napoleon Street bus line and the St. Charles Streetcar were both only a short walk away, which made using public transportation a breeze and easy to access all the other districts of this wonderful city. Really, we were perfectly located in a central neighborhood that is a pleasure to walk in. Also, being just mere blocks from the parade route made it easy to come and go from the apartment to rejuvenate, drop off a load of beads, then run back out for more!

                                                      When it came to booking our swamp tour, Rick was wonderful and set the entire trip up for us. We didn’t have to do a thing, which is really greatly appreciated when you're on vacation.

                                                      So, if you’re looking for a lovely accommodation in a great neighborhood with wonderful hosts, you can’t get much better then this. We won’t forget our first visit to NOLA and wouldn’t think twice about staying with Terry and Rick again. They definitely made our stay memorable and we are very thankful they chose us as their 2017 Mardi Gras guests. Thank you Terry and Rick!

                                                      This property is located in a lovely residential neighborhood, very private, but just short walking distance from fabulous shopping and dining on Magazine Street. Also within short walking distance is the historic New Orleans Streetcar line which is a great way to see the city, and to reach the downtown and French Quarter areas. Ample parking is available directly in front of the property. The property is secured outdoors by a locked gate. The neighborhood is safe, well lighted and easily accessible. Tulane University, Loyola University Audubon Park and the renowned New Orleans Audubon Zoo are all located in this area. Also located in this area are a variety of great restaurants from casual po-boy shops to fine dining.
