We love The Plantation, & have been coming here for years! We've stayed in a couple of different units owned by Jackie. There have been some nice updates to both bathrooms. ~~Beware of the master shower, though.~~ Unless they have added some appliques, the floor is super slick. I fell hard the first time showering in it & hit my head; began standing on a towel after that, in order to have some grip on the floor. We surely plan to book again! And eat at the Sassy Bass there on site. Great breakfast!
Family vacation in the books!
Our family vacation was much needed and this was the perfect spot. The condo location is perfect if you don't want to fight the crowds in Gulf Shores and it's only a short drive away if you like to eat out and shop. The pictures of the condo are exactly what you get, nicely remodeled with a view of the ocean and pool. Nice and comfortable for 5 people (3 adults, 1 teen and an 11 yr old). The adult frozen beverages at the Sassy Bass are recommended! Besides hanging out at the beach and pools we visited Fort Morgan, drove to Pensacola for a Blue Wahoos game, hit the outlet mall, rode go carts, ate at Lambert's, Hazel's Nook, The Hangout, Sea n Suds, and Bahama Bob's. Plus there is a Wal-Mart, Publix and other local shopping chain for grocercies. I think that about covers our awesome stay! Thank you Jackie for sharing your condo!

Lovely place, perfect location
We greatly enjoyed your home. The location was perfect, walking to beach, bay and golf. Loved the private beach and only 15 minute drive to strip and shopping. Would definitely come back.

Needs some improvement
The condo was nicely decorated, but improvements need to be made. The beds were much to soft with absolutely no support. I woke each morning with back pain and both my granddaughter and I fell out of the bed on two different occasions. She's only five and hit the tile floor hard, which scared me. The mattresses are so soft you can't sit up in bed so you have to roll out. Not good. Also not good was the guest bed being in front of the bedroom door. You couldn't close it! The door from the kitchen into the guest bedroom suite could also not be closed as it caused a continuous shriek from the AC intake. Same situation with the master bedroom. We also had problems with keeping the condo cool enough. The building is old and access for the handicapped is limited and inconvenient. There was road construction going on next to our building, which was unsightly and inconvenient as well. Staff was very friendly and helpful, beach was great and not crowded. The restaurant there was terrific - great food and friendly staff - and it was nice to just walk across the parking lot to eat out.
Thank you so much for choosing our condo for your vacation. I am sorry you did not like the new memory foam mattresses which we put in both bedrooms last fall. We have not had a problem with the door to the guest bedroom but will check it immediately. Sassy Bass is a wonderful place to eat and we are pleased you enjoyed their great sea food!

We enjoyed our stay at Jackie's condo. It was very clean! Jackie was awesome to work with, always a quick response to questions. This was the perfect mother daughter get away!

Just what we needed! A calm beach, an exceptionally clean condo and all the comforts of home. The beach felt like we owned it. Far from the madding crouds seen elsewhere. We will definitely return.

Additional information about rental rates
An advanced rental payment of $200 is due at the time of booking. The balance of the rental is due 50 days from arrival. Payment may be made by check, money order or credit/debit card. An extra fee applies to payment made by card. The damage protection covers damages up to $175. Renters provide a credit card to be kept on file for damages exceeding $175. The resort you are staying at requires a $20 registration certificate per vehicle, which is good for the length of your stay. Rate are subject to change until reservation is confirmed.
