Great house with perfect location
We loved staying at this house! The location was great and very convenient to downtown. We also really enjoyed the pool. The house was very clean and equipped with all the basics we needed for the weekend. I highly recommend this house!
Thank you for the 5 star review! Hope to have you all back soon.
Family reunion weekend
The house is great. It's as good as the pictures show. We were three adults and four kids. Lots and lots of room for us to spread out and the pool was the key to the kids happiness after a day of touring around. The neighborhood is charming. The house is a short walk to the shops and restaurants on Fraizer and two minutes to the grocery store. There is an awesome pedestrian only bridge across the river that takes you right to the heart of downtown. The host was very attentive and responded to our questions very quickly. Loved our stay here and would recommend it highly.
Thank you for the great review! Glad you all enjoyed your stay and hope to have you back soon.
Overall nice stay
We stayed the first week in August for a week for ASA softball nationals. The house is newly refurbished with a large addition. Kitchen, dining and living space was great for the 3 families we had staying there. The beds, pillows and linens were very comfortable. There were enough towels in all of the bathrooms. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a Taco Tuesday team dinner one night and there was plenty of space for everyone with the pool area seating. Maybe add a recycling can in the kitchen area? We threw out most of the recyclables since we didn't want to run individual bottles/cans/boxes outside to the can.
The pool was great. (We left some noodles in the store room in the basement for others to use for floating.) The girls were able to play their games and then come back and cool off and rest their sore muscles. The location close to the Chattanooga attractions and restaurants couldn't be beat. When we stayed, there was only 1 TV in the house, maybe that's been updated.
No one else has mentioned this issue, so maybe we were just unlucky or maybe the house was empty for a while before we got there or maybe it's just normal in the South. We had some large Southern bugs inside the house. First night, one dead and one on the wall in the basement. After we went to bed that night, one ran across my husband and I in bed in the king bedroom. I immediately messaged Matt and he said it rained before we got there and he could have the exterminator come out on Monday. I decided against that because I didn't want to stir up any more. On Thursday, one of our housemates found 2 more in the claw foot tub bathroom. I hesitated to even mention, but several friends told me I couldn't leave a review and not say something.
Overall a good stay. There is a lot of ongoing construction on other houses in the area but it wasn't noisy. This seems to be the area to stay in near Chattanooga
Thank you for the review. Glad you enjoyed your stay. As you mentioned, we did just about all we could do for you all with regard to the exterminator. The house is under regular treatment and we lived in the house for 6 years prior to renting it. The bugs are common for the area especially after a rain.
Very nice home! No issues
Great location. We plan on staying here again. Owners very responsive to questions.
Thank you for the great review. Glad you all enjoyed your stay and look forward to your return!
Fun Family Time...ACCOMPLISHED!
Our intentions for our time in Chattanooga were accomplished with our stay at the North Chattanooga home. We have family in every direction and this was the ideal meeting place for a long weekend reunion. Fun times at the beautiful pool area, family rooms, and of course in the beautiful kitchen were had. The location was ideal for our " all ages" family; young adults loved the close proximity of the River Front, the pedestrian bridge and the restaurants....enjoyed Coolidge Park several times with our little ones. We have stayed at many places rented through VRBO and by far the beds were the most comfortable...in every bedroom...thank you for focusing with linen supplies, towels and comfortable mattresses...very important items for us.
The owners were attentive and addressed the few minor issues that we had to our satisfaction. We will certainly keep North Chattanooga Home with a salt water pool on our radar. Thank you for always addressing my questions before and during our time there, Matthew...It was a pleasure.
Thank you for the great review! Glad to have you all and wanted you to know we took all of your suggestions into account and our future guests should benefit from them. Hope to have you all back soon!
Great Downtown Location!
A group of 9 of us stayed at this property for a long weekend away, and it absolutely worked out perfectly for us! In Chattanooga, a lot of the homes are built into the hills, so from the outside, this house looks sort of small. Wait until you get inside!! You enter on the main floor, but it extends back quite a ways, then you have the media room, bathroom, and daybed on the bottom floor, as well as access to the patio and swimming pool. The stairs are a bit steep, but the handrail is very sturdy.
This location is PERFECT to downtown. There are several restaurants and bars within walking distance, or a very short drive. There is a lot of parking available downtown. We didn't know it at the time, but it was the first weekend of the Riverbend Festival - a series of concerts on the river over two weekends. We were able to hear the music from the pool! Very cool!
We had enough space for everyone to stay comfortably. The kitchen was spacious enough for 3 people to cook breakfast at the same time. The long kitchen table seated us all (with a few extra chairs we brought along). The beds were all very comfortable! The owners were still making some renovations at the time we stayed, and we can't wait to stay again to see how it all turns out! We would definitely stay here again!
Thank you so much for the great review! Loved having you all and if there is anything we could do better please don't hesitate to let us know.
