**Beautiful Carriage Home in Lewes, Delaware**

After years of vacationing in Dewey Beach, we bought this lovely (new) carriage home in 2005. Our home is spacious with four bedrooms and a loft (which doubles as a second family/living room). Our home features two full bathrooms and one half bath. We have two eating areas on either side of a large kitchen(fully equipped). It is an open floor plan with plenty of room to either hang out with your group or have time to yourself. And my favorite part is our deck; a lovely place to watch the sun set and enjoy a drink after a hard day on the beach.

We are right off of route 1, close to the action, but not too close. Lewes Beach and Cape Henlopen State Park, are approximately 4 miles away. We have awesome tax-free outlet shopping right down the street(rt. 1), tons of restaurants and activities galore.

Cape Henlopen State Park is an awesome beach/state park, complete with swimming, biking, hiking, kayaking, disc golf, and eco tourism.

Community Features:

*Community Pool and Pool House

*Very close to the Tanger Outlets in Rehoboth

*Close to many awesome restaurants

*8 minutes from Cape Henlopen State Park/Beach

*10 miles from Sports at the Beach in Georgetown

*30 minutes from Dover Downs Int'l Raceway

**Please note, we are on the Bay Side of Route 1 in Lewes, outside of the Historic District**

About Kara

We (Kara and Marwa) have been friends since kindergarten and have owned this home since 2005. We are Delaware natives and love living 1.5 hours from the beach (and it is the 'beach,' not the shore!).

Kara purchased this townhome in 2005

Why Kara chose Delaware

We chose to buy in Lewes because 1. it's beautiful, 2. it is the oldest town in the first state, rich with history, 3. it is close enough to everything you would want in a beach area without being right on top of the madness.

What makes this townhome unique

Our home is right off of Route 1 in the Eagle Point community (behind Grand Slam Grotto's). Our location is unique in the fact that we are close to all of the action, yet it's quiet enough to relax.

Our home is bayside, about an eight minute drive from Cape Henlopen. For you sports enthusiasts, we are 10.9 miles or 16 minutes, from Sports at the Beach. We are four miles from Lewes Beach and five miles from Cape Henlopen State Park; although you are welcomed to bike there, you really do need to drive, as you are crossing Route 1(highway).

Great property and great owners!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I LOVED this house! We visit the Rehoboth/Dewey area every year for an Autism fundraiser which is on a Friday. We always have difficulties finding a rental since houses flip on Saturday, however, the owner, Kara, was very accommodating and allowed us to begin our stay on a Friday. Kara was a pleasure to work with- she was quick to respond and made sure our stay was fantastic. The house was large, clean, had a community pool, and there was no traffic in the development so my children could ride their bikes and go for walks. It was a short drive to Cape Henlopen and Lewes, which was great. We will definitely stay there again!
