This apartment is located in the centre of Florence, in Via Anguillara n° 5, close to one of the most unique and characteristic squares of the city: Piazza Santa Croce. It is very near to the most important museums as 'Il Bargello' and 'Gli Uffizi'. The cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, all the important churches, squares and monuments can be reached in a few minutes walk as the main streets, the best restaurants and cafès.
Just lately the apartment has been completely restored and equipped with modern comforts, including air conditioning and a free Internet WI-FI connection. Good furniture and also antiques are combined with modern comforts and the result is very good. Thanks to its location guests can enjoy the real atmosphere of Florence throughout the day or in the evening when cafès and restaurants can offer enchanting spots to admire the breathtaking beauties of this most wonderful city.
I can help you to enjoy your time in Florence giving you some suggestions or being your personal tourist guide in Florence and in the other beautiful cities in Tuscany.

My family of 4 rented Lena's apartment near Piazza Santa Croce for 6 days in late April. We were so very pleased with the spaciousness and cleanliness of this well located home. The apartment had everything we needed and Lena was so thoughtful and kind. Even before we booked our stay, she was so attentive in responding to all our questions. It was like having a loving sister willing to take care of your every need. We especially liked the Bialetti espresso pots, the comfortable beds, and the view from the front windows into the square where the beautiful Santa Croce Church resides. There was a very convenient Cafe right at the corner, a fabulous restaurant right across the street, the best gelato just around the corner, a bank machine just one block away and loads of other shops and restaurants within a block or two. And then of course the amazing historical features of Florence, like the Ufizzi, the Arno, the Ponte Vechio all the Piazzas and the Duomo where all within walking distance. Staying here made us feel like we were truly a part of the Florentine culture that this wonderful city has to offer. I highly recommend Lena and her lovely apartment and hope someday to return there myself.
Thank you Lena for making our family vacation one that we will never forget!

We had a lovely time in this flat in central Florence, it's very close to all the sights and the most beautiful church in the city. It is a good size and there is good access to restaurants, supermarkets, etc. It is very safe and has good facilities inside.
Lena was very friendly and helpful and provides tips & guide books for your stay in Florence.
Occasionally it could be a bit noisy in the front room at night but other than that everything was great.
The photo's are spot on, the apartment was very clean and if you need anything the owner is only a phone call or e-mail away and very quick to respond to needs or questions, terrific customer service. She met us upon arrival to introduce herself, show us around the apartment and ensure we were familiar with everything.
This was my wife's 50th birthday present and the city of Florence didn't let us down, it really is amazing and you can do day trips to Venice via the high speed train, Tuscany via coach (which included Pisa, Siena, San Gimignano as well as a relaxing lunch at a Chianti winery overlooking the vineyards) without the need to rent a car and many other places, it's so central and the high speed train keeps everything so close. The apartment is walking distance to the train station and in Florence you can walk to everything. We based ourselves at this lovely little apartment which had everything we needed for two weeks and did day trips. This way we didn't have to pack and carry luggage. A trip to Rome probably requires three days to see most of what you want. It's about 90 minutes via the train and there's tours for everything and very reasonably priced. Take the tours as they get you to the front of the lines for not much more money.
Florence is saturated with cafe's, restaurants, bars and bistro's. We sat outside and people watched at just about all our meals. The food is absolutely amazing and it's very common to have wine with all meals which suited us just fine:). It was all very reasonably priced. There really are restaurants everywhere and it seams like every other store is a leather store. Florence is the leather capital of the world and they have some beautiful stuff.
I would highly recommend this apartment, if you're used to living in 5 star hotels this may not be for you, however if you want reasonably priced accommodation that gives you everything you need in an authentic building where you can really live like the locals in a beautiful ancient city this will not disappoint.
My wife and I also had our adult son and daughter with us, the twin beds in the second bedroom were perfect for them and saved us looking for a three bedroom, although there is a sofa bed in the living room if needed.
Grazie Mille, Lena! We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our 10 day stay. Our family's goal for this getaway was to relax and live like locals as best we could, and the apartment and its location helped us attain this. Five adults comfortably fit, and the kitchen was well-suited for cooking an occasional meal. I wouldn't have traded the location for anywhere else as it was perfectly situated in the city for both sightseeing and relaxing walks across the river. There are excellent restaurants in very close proximity, plus many small specialty markets (and a Conad is just a few blocks) away to fill the frig with wine, cheese, prosciutto and fruit! Lena was very helpful, always responded to my emails quickly, and made us feel very welcome. I know when I return (I wont say if) I will try to stay here again.
My family and I stayed in Lena's apartment for 8 days. From the beginning, Lena was accommodating and quick to respond to my many emails. She met us in front of the building, gave us a tour of the apartment and shared with us where we were located on the city map. She also shared with us some of her favorite restaurants and how to get to the closest supermarket. The apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable. But the best part of Lena's apartment was the location. Perfectly placed to walk everywhere! Lena is originally from Lucca, and she also graciously offered to be our tour guide of her city. We had a wonderful morning and saw many of Lucca's treasured sites. Highly recommend Lena's apartment! We hope to stay there again!
We were 3 male friends from Mexico, staying for 5 days in Florence. The location is extraordinary.
Via Anguillara is an important street leading almost directly to Piazza della Signoria, the heart of Florence. It takes a less than 10 minute walk to get there!
The apartment is very close to every main site in this gorgeous City and has excellent restaurants around.
The apartment has everything anyone would need during a trip. Decorated in a rustic style. Internet connection, a well equipped kitchen, washing machine, iron…etc. 2 well separated bedrooms , and a nice small bathroom with street view!
Lena, a charming girl, greeted us upon our arrival and explained in perfect English everything we needed to know for our short stay. Very helpful she booked a taxi for us, for our departure day.
We certainly recommend this apartment for anyone visiting Florence.
