Separate private apartment attached to owners home. North Lake Getaway never fails to provide you with a memorable vacation filled with activities for all ages. The property is nestled into a wooded hill surrounded by flower gardens and a spacious yard with lots of room for yard games. North Lake is everything you dreamed of in a lake view vacation. North Lake is a 90 acre, spring fed lake. Sunsets are free and ours are breathtaking! Sit outside on your deck with grill and patio table with chairs and enjoy the view of the lake. At the end of the day you can nuzzle up to a campfire and listen for the loons and other wildlife come to life. Adventure awaits you!
Summer activities: Fishing (Large Mouth Bass, Northern, Crappies and Blue Gills. Four kayaks w/lifejackets and paddles, a paddle boat and large floating dock are available for your use
Dock/Pier access available for an extra fee to dock your boat
Biking is awesome on our local quiet country roads
Winter activities: Snowmobile trails (within 2 miles) Ice fishing on North Lake and other nearby lakes. Cross country skiing or Snow Shoeing. Iola Winter Sports Club offers well groomed trails with rentals.
Access to "public" hunting land is a short drive away.

Weekend Getaway

Our experience here was great! Mary and Tim are always quick to answer questions and help. The lake is clear and they have plenty of different options to spend time on the lake. Would definitely stay here again!

Quiet and relaxing stay with great fishing!

We had a great stay with plenty of fish caught including crappie, bluegill, bass and perch. The boats were a nice to have and the kitchen was well stocked. It was a short trip to town for ice cream and more bait when we needed it. The owners were wonderful and helpful during our stay, thank for hosting! We hope to be back again.

Great place, lovely lake

This place is just as pictured. We stayed, kayaked, played games on the patio and made S’Mores over a fire! It was exactly what we were looking for!

Great stay

Family of 5 enjoyed a weekday stay at the lake! Mary and Tim treated us like family! Each night we went out fishing in the boats and caught all types of fish- northern, pumpkin seeds, bass, crappie and pan fish. We had a wonderful time and are already looking forward to next years stay!

Excellent Experience

This whole experience, from booking to checking in and out, was stress free. Mary has excellent communication skills and was very informative about things going on in the community. The property was beautiful, relaxing and exceptionally Clean ! Mary and her husband are very friendly. We will surely stay there again if ever we are in the area. again.

We vacationed here from Illinois and ended up moving here in 1975. After getting married and starting to raise a family we had the opportunity to move back to the lake where I grew up. It has been a joy raising a family here. Mary runs a small hair salon business on the property. I hope you will enjoy it here as much as we have!
