Really felt like a home
Wonderful 2 bedroom home was better than expected. Dominique was a wonderful hostess and accommodates all your needs. She has book filled with all that is needed of things to do and maps in French and English. This place really felt like a home. Lots of basic amenities for our family who loved to eat in.
She had English movies, both adult and kids which was great if having a lazy day. There was also a Wii which the kids loved playing. Great location to public transportation and 10mins to a large shopping center.
Would stay there again in a heart beat, great location and quiet neighborhood.
Comfortable, stylish, and elegant. Good location.
This is a lovely apartment -- a fully up-to-date and well equipped kitchen; great shower room, with modern tile from floor to ceiling; spacious; tasteful; and homey. It looks just like the photos. It was clean and well maintained. The neighborhood is quiet and residential, but the center city is very walkable. We went running in the Parc Bordelais, which is not far in the opposite direction. Mme. Dubois is very kind and helpful. She gave us some great recommendations of things to do during our 4-day stay. Bordeaux was wonderful! We will definitely stay here when we return.
A fabulous stay in Bordeaux
My 16-year-old son and I spent 10 wonderful months in Bordeaux at this delightful apartment. There was plenty of space for both of us as well as our occasional sleep-over guests and even dinner parties with 7 people. The apartment is beautiful, clean, well-equipped and quiet. The kitchen is just what we needed to cook dinner almost every night: a large refrigerator, stove, oven, and all the equipment we needed. All the appliances work very well. The apartment is decorated in a very beautiful style and it is a pleasure to be in it. It is one floor above the street, making it quieter and more private than apartments on street level.
The neighborhood is quiet and residential and very safe. The apartment is a 5-10 minute walk from the St Bruno tram stop. The tram can take you anywhere in Bordeaux cheaply and quickly. It is also a 10 minute walk from a bus that can take you to the airport in 30 minutes. It is a 25-minute walk (if you'd rather walk than ride the tram) to rue Sainte Catherine and the downtown shopping district. There are many restaurants nearby and all over Bordeaux. It is a 10-minute walk to Maison Lamour - voted the best bakery in France in 2018 - that has fantastic bread and pasteries. Also about 10 minutes away is the Merideck shopping center which has grocery stores, a pharmacy, and many clothing, etc
Bordeaux is a great city to visit or live in. It is large enough to have many interesting museums, historical sites, music venues, restaurants, wineries, shops and more. It is small enough that you can walk all around downtown easily. There are fascinating shops and restaurants on every street. It is also easy to get from Bordeaux to other places in France and Europe by train or car. The nearby towns of Arcachon (beach) and Saint Emillion (wine & medieval town) are easy to get to and fun. The food, ambience, and people are terrific.
Dominique and Bertrand are outstanding landlords. They were easy to work with when we were making arrangements and have been excellent hosts. They gave us all sorts of restaurant, shopping, and visiting advice. They have welcomed us into their home and made us feel part of the neighborhood. In the few cases when there were problems, they were extremely and rapidly helpful. It has been a pleasure living near them.
We would recommend this apartment to anyone wanting a short or long stay in Bordeaux with great enthusiasm.
A Wonderful Experience in Bordeaux
This bright and well located apartment was perfectly equipped to meet our needs. We arrived for an 11 month stay with just our suitcases and found that, apart from grocery shopping, almost everything we needed was supplied. Also importantly, we were warmly welcomed by our wonderful hosts, Dominique and Bertrand, as neighbours rather than just tenants. This welcome was also extended by other neighbours who have become friends. It will be hard for us to leave but we will take many fond memories with us. The apartment is located in a quiet street, 4 mins walk to the Bordeaux International School, and close to excellent public transport. Or you can walk 15 mins to the beautiful historic centre of Bordeaux.
Great Home -- Short or Long Stay!
My wife and I absolutely love this apartment, have stayed there for two multi-month stays, and hope to do so again in the future. This large two-bedroom apartment has a "real home" feel and is impeccably maintained. We find it to the perfect blend of old-world charm and modern convenience. For us, the location is optimal. In a quiet residential area on a charming stone-paved street with many friendly people (whom we met at the annual block party!), it is a 10-min walk to the busier parts of Bordeaux's centre ville. Also very close to the tram and to a VCub bike rental station. The apartment has superb natural lighting and virtually everything you will need for a short or long stay. For the rare exception, delightful owners/hosts, Dominique and Bertrand (who live downstairs) will promptly provide what you need. Also, even though the accompanying photo might not show them, shutters have been added to the windows in recent months, which is a very nice added feature. The owners are available daily to provide useful suggestions on activities, restaurants, etc., while also being interested in the discoveries that you will make while staying in Bordeaux. (Black List café is a MUST if you love excellent coffee/espresso drinks!) Finally, even though the owners are always available to assist, they are also very respectful of the tenants' privacy. For us, we consider them to be respectful neighbors and friends rather than our "landlords." In summary, the apartment and the owners are great, the apartment is very fairly priced for Bordeaux, and it provides a wonderful opportunity to become immersed in the charm of daily living in the beautiful city of Bordeaux. We cannot wait to return!
Jodie…Steve… Thank you so much !!
Having held the role of renters, neighbors and friends... you are now finally our family !!

At the heart of the city, yet close to major ocean beaches, the Bassin d'Arcachon, the Dune du Pilat, Cap Ferret, the road of the great wines of the Médoc, Graves and St. Emilion.
City of art, commerce and history, the capital of the Aquitaine lives to the rhythm of the new century without denying his penchant for culture, gastronomy, sports, nature and everything that makes good living in town.
