Buck Shoals Cabin is located in the Yadkin Valley. This is home to many local wineries that are located within 10 miles of the cabin. It is close enough to town if interested in shopping or eating out but nested in the beautiful valley on a 40 acre farm for all the privacy you could want. It is on a beautiful creek with a dam so you can play in the shoals below the dam or fish and boat in the water above the dam. Walking trails along the creek and into the woods above the dam provide an opportunity to see wildlife. Horseshoe pits as well as corn hole are provided on site. Fire Pit with firewood are also provided.

About melissa brown
My husband is a contractor and build this cabin. It is our pride and joy. It is wood with a tin roof. Built on a creek with a dam you wake up to the sounds of the creek. So relaxing and views are beautiful.
Why melissa brown chose North Buck Shoals
We have always loved this area and always said we would one day live on this creek. The opportunity came up to purchase some land here and we could not resist. After much debate we decided to built a cabin and am so happy with it. Now we have decided to take it a step further and share the beauty of our property with others.

Great for a short trip!
Peaceful & pretty. We enjoyed the water & the host were kind & accommodating. There's no full kitchen so not ideal if you're wanting to cook with a stove or oven. We grilled the whole time.
Lovely and convenient cabin
This cabin was the perfect base for our Yadkinville adventures. It is very thoughtfully furnished, with very comfortable bedding and a luxurious shower. We loved the view of the dam and shoals. Only the kichenettes were not quite as expected: the toaster oven did not seem to work, and there were skillets but no hot plate, leaving us to do all of our cooking with the microwave.
Thank you for your review and for letting me know about the toaster oven. I can't fix what I don't know is broken. The hot plate is located in its box under the sink with the pans. Sorry about your inconvenience. So glad you still had a good time
Beautiful and Spacious Cabin
We were here for a wedding at the Winding Creek Wedding Barn and happened upon this gem on VRBO. We loved our stay, the property is beautiful. The rooms are clean and spacious. We went with another couple and their 10 year old. I would love to stay here again.
Very fine accomodations just minutes from the Fiddler’s Grove Festival.
Lovely accomodations for ourselves and our friends, a UK couple. They walked the many paths around the property, birdwatching while we played at the festival. My favorite sighting was a grey heron by the dam/waterfall. The interior is tasteful, roomy and comfortable. A favorite is the huge master bedroom shower.
We will back. The owners are excellent hosts. Rent it. Just not when we’re coming!
Tranquil, out door beauty, inside comfort!
Amazing place for people and dogs!
One of the best places we have rented so far. If you enjoy comfort, peaceful water features right out your back door, this is you!
Beautiful property! Great place get away!
Thank you for sharing your home with us. It was the perfect place to hang out for a low key weekend. Most of our time was spent at the waterfall by the fire. All resources were there for everything we needed! The house is perfect for 6 people and the property is great for pets. We cooked dinner on the grill and made s’mores by the fire for dessert! We went to a nearby winery which was only a 4 minute drive, would definitely recommend. We would love to come back in the summer time. Thank you again.
