About the property

Welcome to the Lodge at Bear Crossing! It is a large luxury lodge perched on 2 acres of private property that borders the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The front of the lodge consists of 522,419 acres belonging the Smoky Mountain National Park, without a house in sight. A National Park trail is easily accessible within 100 feet of the lodge. No need to go anywhere to hike through the mountains! The back of the lodge overlooks the floor of the famous Wears Valley. It is only 10 miles from our driveway to the Parkway in PIGEON FORGE, and about 15 miles to the Parkway in GATLINBURG. LOCATION! LOCATION!

Our entire lodge is custom, with most furniture being hand-carved from reclaimed lumber. It is a perfect place for large gatherings, with plenty of space to entertain! Outdoor living at the lodge is sure to please, with decks on all levels, fire pit, gas grill and hiking trail through the National Park OFF OF OUR PROPERTY! There is a double paved road that leads to our private driveway, with plenty of room to park multiple vehicles. (There are inclines driving up to the lodge). Located in an upscale area with surrounding beauty. We also have the ***SUNDAY TICKET*** so that you don't have to miss a game!

The main level of the lodge boasts a MASSIVE wrap-around deck, with a gas grill, seating, and 2 hammocks to relax in. The living room, kitchen/dining area, and laundry room with washer & dryer are also on the main level. Kitchen has custom cabinets made from native poplar bark. You may have seen the poplar bark materials in several rustic homes featured on HGTV. Huge floor to ceiling stone wood burning fireplace in the living room. This level has 2 large bedrooms with private baths, including a large master suite with a 65" 4K TV, whirlpool tub and separate shower unit with steam accessory.

The second level has 2 large bedrooms, both with TVs and private full bathrooms. One of the bedrooms has a large deck overlooking the National Park.

The lower level of the house has a large bedroom holding 3 queen beds, with a shared full bathroom. Adjacent to the bedroom, is a game room/sitting area with a pull out sofa-bed and large 52" TV. This level also has a pool table, and opens up to a huge deck area, with hot tub on this level.

We have a "bonus" level called the Tower Room, which is a 3rd floor level. It includes a sitting room, surround windows with views all around from the inside, and a stone gas fireplace. It opens up to a large deck with the most amazing views of the Great Smoky Mountains. You are above it all on this level!!!

We love this dream mountain lodge, and hope that you do too! We take pride in providing our guests with a clean and welcoming environment. All you need to do, is relax and enjoy the Great Smoky Mountains and all they have to offer:)

About Leah Rosenzweig

We bought this dream home last year to move closer to my Dad, and because we fell in love with the beauty of Tennessee and Wears Valley in particular. We are still amazed at how majestic the scenery is every time we are there, and never take it for granted...

Leah Rosenzweig purchased this lodge in 2016

What makes this lodge unique

We fell in love with this home because of the location and the magnificent views. We really do have our own piece of the Mountains! We love to sit on a different deck every time and soak up all of the killer views.

Great home with immediate park access

  • 5 of 5

Very much enjoyed our stay at Bear Crossing. Home was perfect for our family of 9. All had their own appropriately sized bed and individual room bathroom, no having to sleep on couches or pull-outs. Property is ideally located for those that want to maximize their time in the park and not have to navigate Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge to go exploring. Close enough to visit those locations if you want, however. Views are spectacular. Leah was very responsive and everything was as depicted. Our family is already looking for dates to see when we can return!

This house is so great and convenient to hiking trail!

  • 5 of 5

Property was very clean. There were so many little things that we noticed, like the good supply of coffee and tea for the Keurig and the nice stack of wood that was ready to use! The kitchen is nicely supplied with plenty of pots, pans, utensils and so much more. Everything was just perfect. We will be back next year for sure!

Myself and 9 other women decided to get away for a Women's Retreat. We had a roaring fire all weekend, had a personal chef come in and the property was elegant and perfect for what we needed. The views were amazing and everyone loved it! Thx so much for hosting us! Will definitely return!

Beautiful home, Awesome views of the mountains and valley

  • 5 of 5

Our family had its annual after Christmas reunion here, and it was perfect for the 3 families, including 9, 7, 3, and 2 year old kids. The layout was perfect, with every bedroom having its own private bath. The older girls stayed on the bottom floor, and that worked out well. All the kids played down there. The upper room was a nice surprise, giving the adults a quiet place to hang out to get out of the chaos. Our older son and his 2 daughters even got in the hot tub in 20 degree weather. We were amazed at how the entire house was well stocked. Our family loved this house and would rent it again. We highly recommend renting this beautiful home!!!

The cabin was perfect for our Family Reunion/Smoky Mountain Christmas! It was everything we hoped for. We had a group of 16 family members who traveled from Arizona, Florida, Missouri and Virginia for our get together and the cabin fit our needs in every way. It was decorated very tastefully for Christmas and we felt right at home. Leah is amazing and great to work with. She is the sweetest person you will ever come in contact with. We would definitely stay at Bear Crossing again.
