Working as an electrical and mechanical engineer, a job brought me to the area in 1986 -- and absolutely loved it. 2 years later I moved to Discovery Bay (between Sequim and Port Townsend) and developed property in the surrounding areas for the next 28 years with my brother.

As avid outdoorsman, we explored every nook and cranny of the Olympic Peninsula. There's a local motto, "sea level to ski level in 30 minutes," which hints at the diversity of adventures to be had. Beautiful mountains, rivers, lakes, hot springs, and more -- it's a truly magical place. There's world class hiking, fishing, river rafting, mountain biking, ATVs, etc., the options are endless. We love sharing this incredible place with our friends and family, and now with folks from around the world using Airbnb. We look forward to sharing tips on how to have the best possible experience tailored to you and the area we feel lucky to call home!

House is on over 1 acre in a quiet rural neighborhood.

Absolutely THE BEST

Steve is the most gracious and accommodating host. We thoroughly enjoyed of Thanksgiving at the Casa Habanero!

I would HIGHLY recommend staying here when you plan your next visit to the Olympic Peninsula.

Wonderful.

Clean, well stocked felt like I was in my own home. Owners were very helpful with things to do, places to eat, etc. Loved the bagels, fresh fruit, eggs. Hiked around Olympic Park and the food was a welcome bonus as we had plenty of food for our hikes. We didn't have to buy food. Thanks for a great place to stay and a great ending to our vacation.

Great place to stay. Close to stores. House was comfortable and very clean. Well equipped with anything you could possibly need, including coffee and bagels. Better choice than a hotel any day. Owner was very accommodating. Thank you.

Great Choice

Very nice comfy home. Fully stocked kitchen including snacks on the counter and lots of items in the fridge. Nice back porch with great views of the mountains.

Communication was easy and complete.

We would rent this house again.

Great accomodations at Casa Habanero in Sequim, Washington!

Our stay was wonderful. Steve is a gracious host, providing above and beyond. The house was spacious, well stocked with everything we might need for our comfort and meal preparations. It was inviting, cozy, and quiet. Our only regret was that we could not stay longer. Steve offered us that option on departure day but alas we had to be on our way. I highly recommend this VRBO to anyone who would appreciate being "home away from home" in Sequim.

P.S. I did submit a review earlier on the Home Away website and am puzzled that I was asked to submit a review again. Glad to do so however as our stay was just great!
