Welcome to Hale O Ke Kai ~ Home by the sea.
We hope you will enjoy this fully AIR CONDITIONED and renovated two bedroom, two bath cottage as much as we do. You will find the cottage past the 1.5 mile marker east of Kaunakakai between Molokai Shores and Hotel Molokai. Our little "Pink Gem" (#9) is one of ten cottages that over look an active historical Hawaiian fish pond with amazing winter sunsets.
Once you have settled in, take a step out on to the lanai and relax under the ceiling fan while watching the waves crash at the edge of the reef, or If TV is your thing we have over 100 channels you can flip through on a 50" flat screen. We have also included FREE WiFi to keep in touch with reality. But if you're like me, and you like to keep in touch with family back home the ole fashion way, help yourself to stationery and greeting cards that you will find in the fold down desk that sits at the window. The local post office is on the corner Ala Malama Ave and Kamoi St. in Kaunakakai. Or if you would like to get creative see Gary at the Ho Olehua Post Office to POST a NUT. Gary will be happy to supply you with a coconut and markers.
Whether you come to Molokai to explore or relax be sure to visit Aunti Teri at the Kalele Book Store and Divine Expressions located downtown across from the Fish and Dive. Be sure to get your FREE map of Molokai, and let her know you are staying with us at the Fish Pond Cottages. Aunti Teri is the "Welcome Wagon of Molokai" She will help you find the perfect waterfall to hike, the most scrumptious place to eat, and the best beaches to swim. But most of all, Aunti will share with you the warmth of Aloha the island has to offer.
After a day of fun it's time to cook up something tasty that you picked up from a local farmer at Saturday's Farmer's Market or some fresh shrimp from one of the locals (selling it out of the back of their pickup) you will find a fully stocked kitchen with new appliances and a gas BBQ to help with your masterpiece. Plus a Bosch dishwasher to give you more time to enjoy the island! We have installed AC units in each of the bedrooms and one in the living room to keep you cool when the trade winds are not doing their job. For a good night sleep we have a new queen size bed in bedroom one and a new king in the master for you. You will find a washer and dryer located in the front bathroom and an outside clothes line for your convenience.
So welcome to the "friendly Isle" if this is your first time, or you have returned to feed your soul, our home away from home is yours to enjoy. Please make yourself comfortable while respecting and admiring its beauty inside and out.

About Rhonda Snow
Joel & Rhonda Snow of California. We love Molokai so much, we have made it our second home. If you would like beach access and sunsets that leave you saying "Oh My!" then check out our condo on the west end at Kepuhi Beach Resort VRBO # 1242941
Rhonda Snow purchased this Cottage in 2016
Why Rhonda Snow chose Kaunakakai
We had visited the other islands in the past, but only heard of Molokai. So not knowing anything about the island I Googled Molokai. Instantly we fell in love with what it had to offer and it was the people who kept us coming back. We were active vrbo renters and on our last visit Christmas 2015 we took the plunge and became part of the community.
What makes this Cottage unique
Newly remodeled thru out, with a new spacious tile shower. No guests above, below or connected to the cottage giving you your privacy. It's centrally located making trips to the store more convenient. Only a 15 minute drive to the airport. And a short walk to Hiro's Grill at the Molokai Hotel for great food and weekend music. Visit Aunti Teri's web page for all you would like to know about Molokai.

An artist and I were working in the Molokai Schools and this cottage/condo, had a clean kitchen, beautiful and tasteful decor, modern amenities, an jack n Jill bathrooms to make the stay very comfortable and enjoyable.
We look forward to staying here again...soon!!!
Lovely oceanfront cottage!
We had a wonderful stay at this well equipped cottage. The location is perfect for exploring this beautiful island. Rhonda, the owner, was very helpful in making our trip comfortable and memorable! Many Mahalos!! Erik and Barbara
Aloha Erik and Barb,

THIS is the place to stay while on Molokai
This is a lovely, comfortable, homey, fully-stocked two bedroom house overlooking an 800 year old Native Hawaiian fishpond with fantastic sunsets. Rare birds from the nearby bird sanctuary stop by in the evening. History, nature, culture and comfort all converge here. We spent 17 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. Molokai is called "The Friendly Island" and I can see why - everybody is kind and helpful. We had a great stay and when it was over our deposit was promptly refunded. We are looking forward to returning soon.
I apologize for my tardy response, but this is my first day off since Spring came early for our businesses.
We would like to thank you for your kind words. We were happy to accommodate and be a part of your Molokai memories.
Thank you for being our first guest and respecting our home as if it were your own. Our hale is always open to you.
Joel & Rhonda
