About Clark and Paula
Hi, we are a Canadian couple living the dream!! We thought of this as a pipe dream that we couldn’t really do....Turns out we can!! After a holiday touring Costa Rica we fell in love with Manuel Antonio and in particular, Jungle Creek! We loved the service, attitude and atmospheres created by Jackie (previous Manager) and want to not only continue, but build on for that truly “Home away from Home Vacation” that we experienced and now live!! We both grew up on the prairies in Saskatchewan, Canada and needless to say, we are not going to miss shoveling the sidewalk and scraping the ice off our windshields! Together we have 6 children who range in age from 26-38 and also 6 grandchildren. We look forward for their visits!!! We want to welcome all new and past visitors to our beautiful home in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica!! Come as guests....leave as friends!!! Pura Vida!
Clark and Paula purchased this House in 2012
Why Clark and Paula chose Valle Pura Vida
We fell in love with Jungle Creek the first day we stayed here. It is in an area that is well established with restaurants, shops and beautiful beaches. It has been well maintained over the years and more beautiful than even photos can capture.
What makes this House unique
The location is perfect! We are nestled in a quiet cul de sac where the jungle surrounds you with a tranquil creek running along the back of the property but yet you are 2 minutes away from any of the other amenities such as restaurants, shops, beach, entertainment, transportation and all other services
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Our stay at Jungle Creek was great.
Paula was fantastic. Not only did she book a guide for us for Manuel Antonio Park but she also made arrangements for transfers from the airport to Jungle Creek, then to Lafortuna, then back to the airport. She was still helping us out even after we left Jungle Creek. Our favorite part of the villa was the patio early in the morning. We loved seeing the macaws and squirrel monkeys.
Stunningly Beautiful, Great Setting With Wildlife right there and Fabulous Hostess!
We stayed 3 nights after another VRBO was NOT as it was advertised and lost our money. This was exactly as advertised but better as you can't advertise warm welcomes, sounds of birds, peace, community by the table every night with the other 3 villas IF you want that..which I LOVED to sit and chat about other people's experiences and tours that day. Paula booked 2 tours for us like instantly..picks up cell phone..DONE! How amazing!!
The Mona Vista was beautiful for me and my 2 kids...the a/c was actually cold unlike the place we left so we only needed to chill the room and then keep the fan on. Everything we could want was there plus the welcome gift basket was SO nice!! How thoughtful! Sure beats getting told how much I will get charged if I lose keys, need laundry or use up my 1 roll of toilet paper!! Yes, I had a bad experience ELSEWHERE and so grateful that I chose to save my trip at Paula's place.
Quepos is just 5 minutes away and we got great souvenirs there and restaurants are a short walk away and the beach is just 5 minutes in the other direction and it is stunning!!
When I left a bag behind on my last day, Paula sent a text hoping she could catch me and she did!! What customer service!!
I can't say enough about it and yes I would absolutely recommend it and would stay again. Thanks again Paula for the wonderful hospitality!! No one would be disappointed here!!
Fantastic Place to Stay!!
My family and I stayed in the Mono Vista Villa a few weeks ago and it was fantastic! I contacted Jungle Creek Villas 6 or so months before our trip to Costa Rica and Paula was so helpful. She answered all of my questions quickly (sometimes only minutes after I emailed her), offered suggestions on tours which included a discount, booked a few of our tours, and was so kind - this was all before we got to CR! Once we arrived, she was just as kind and helpful. She gave us a tour of the grounds and showed us to our villa for the next four nights. The Mono Vista Villa was just as shown in the pictures - clean, well kept, and nice decor. There was a slight musty odor when we walked in but who cares. It is located in a tropical area where that is bound to happen. The dehumidifier in the bathroom helped. Paula had a nice basket on the stand for us that included a pineapple, treats, and coffee for our stay. I bought a couple bags of coffee to bring home because it was delicious. The layout was perfect for our family of four with two bedrooms with A/C that worked very well, a large kitchen, large bathroom with a lot of storage for suitcases, a few fans, and a private gated patio. The patio was perfect for eating outside, lounging around, hanging up wet clothes, etc. Our first morning at Jungle Creek, my son and I were outside looking at the wildlife around 5:30am and a group of monkeys came through the trees. It was our first sighting of monkeys. Paula was so kind and invited us up to her balcony to get a closer look. They were jumping from tree to tree and onto her roof! While we were there we saw monkeys every day, hummingbirds, two macaws that had a nest in a nearby tree, and geckos. We probably would have seen more but we were gone from 8am-6pm every day. Paula booked a few tours for us which we highly recommend - Horseback ride to Nauyaca Waterfalls, Segway Tour, and a guided tour of Manuel Antonio National Park with Paul from Manuel Antonio Expeditions.
Their two dogs are perfect - they didn't bother us to pet them and rarely barked. One morning my husband and I went for a walk and they joined us. It was so cute, one of them kept looking back to see if we were coming.
We also liked the pool area but didn't spend much time there because we were out and about the majority of the day. It was/would be a great way to cool off, relax, read some of the books that were on the bookcase, bbq, and chat.
We highly recommend Jungle Creek Villas!
A nice, clean place to stay with nice, helpful owners!
We stayed 5 nights at the Mono Vista at Jungle Creek. The owners, Paula and Clark were very helpful in suggesting places to eat and things to do. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed! I would definitely recommend this place for others. Hopefully, we will be able to return one day!
If you have never been to Costa Rica, Manuel Antonio is the perfect introduction. It has amazing views, gorgeous rainforest, abundant wildlife, its own National Park, beautiful white sand beaches, great selection of restaurants and nightlife, and tours and activities to keep your days filled with fun. Manuel Antonio has one of the largest beaches in the entire country, and is unique to any other beach in the world. Lined with lush rainforest, white sand, and blue water this beach is one not to be missed. Chairs and umbrellas are available for rent with plenty of locals ready to serve you a drink of your choice while you soak up the sun.
We are home to Manuel Antonio National Park. This park is one of the most beautiful and popular protected coastal areas with amazing wildlife and beaches to experience. The natural habitat is home to famous black iguanas, endangered squirrel monkeys, howler Monkeys, and white faced capuchin monkeys, three toed sloths, pelicans, and hawks. The National Park contains hidden coves ideal for snorkelling and trails through tropical rainforest. The landmark Punta Cathedral towers high above the deep blue Pacific Ocean.
The national motto in Costa Rica, "Pura Vida" sums up the culture and atmosphere you will experience during your stay in Manuel Antonio. The literal translation for Pura Vida is Pure Life. But everyone in Costa Rica uses it as a greeting or a way of saying good bye, etc. People say that the surfers brought that phrase here in the sixties and it was said to express the love of the simple and pure lifestyle. You will hear it a lot once you get here. Relax and enjoy your vacation where people choose to live the simple life..
