Condo, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-3)
Enjoy all the benefits of Lake Martin at a fraction of the cost of waterfront properties. This completely renovated one bedroom/one bath condo is located within StillWaters Resort, on the inactive portion of the golf course (named Legends). A large screened-in porch provides a great view of the fairway, currently used only by walkers and wildlife.
The master suite features a queen size bed (Serta pillow top mattress), flat screen TV w/DVD player and large walk-in closet. The bathroom is equipped with a deep soak jetted tub – an oasis for tired or strained muscles. A queen sofa sleeper, located in the living room, is the perfect place for a third person to rest after a long day of hiking, swimming, golfing, fishing or water sports.
The Golf Colony community pool (typically open between Memorial Day and Labor Day) is right next to the building – just steps from our front door.
You won’t need to leave your laptop at home. Our condo is equipped with Wi-Fi access. You’ll probably also want to star gaze and take advantage of all the activities that are available in the Lake Martin area, though.
If you are a golfer, you may want to enjoy a game at StillWaters’ exclusive golf course or refine your skills at the Robert Trent Jones Grand National course (only 25 minutes away in Auburn/Opelika).
Other guests have used our condo for family vacations, weddings, Auburn football weekends, reunions, romantic getaways, girls’ weekends and business travel. It can also be used as a home base while you shop for your own Lake Martin property.
During your stay, you will be conveniently located near our popular local restaurants. You will also be less than five minutes away from the StillWaters events building, Chapel of the Living Waters (a popular wedding location), and Harbor Pointe Marina/Shipstore.
Several local options are available to launch your boat and store your trailer, but this is an off water property and does not have a boat dock associated with it.
Note that this second-story property provides a great view of the fairway, but does require use several flights of stairs to access.

Perfect weekend getaway!
We truly enjoyed our stay at the condo. It was clean, comfortable, cozy & filled with all the essentials we needed. We spent quite a bit of time on the screened in porch which was perfect for us as we love spending time sitting outside. The welcome book was extremely helpful as it contained so much information on the area. We ate at the Copper Grill within Stillwaters & at Niffers. The food & service was great at both places. We have already talked about staying here again! We loved it!
It was a very nice condo with all needed to enjoy our stay, BUT....
The three flights of stairs was VERY hard. We almost had to stay in because of the difficult climb. To get our things in and then to leave was almost impossible for us.
Also, the website quoted 84.00 a night and I was charged 100.00. I did't argue it but did not understand.
The greeter could not have been nicer and more helpful. He was great!
The condo was very nice and I was happy with it, VERY clean.
I was disappointed with the trip as a whole. It was our 48th anniversary (so we are not young) and I didn't realize the town was so remote and had nothing to do if you didn't have a boat. We ate at three restraints and the food was good.
My wife and I took a quick weekend trip on somewhat of a short notice, and decided to stay here. Upon booking, the owners provided a great deal of useful information about the condo, the resort, and the area in general. On the day of arrival, Raymond was in touch and on point in making sure we were acquainted with the unit. The unit was clean, comfortable, tastefully furnished, and quiet. The pool is adjacent to this building, thus very close to the unit. The cart path of the inactive golf course offers a nice walk. A few spots have deteriorated, but still a great meandering asphalt "trail" with plenty of change in elevation. We walked both nines, and GPS clocked it at about 5 miles total. The condo is also close to Harbor Point Marina in one direction and the golf course in the other, perhaps a 1/2 mile or so from each.
The active golf course is 18 holes, and was in great condition. There is some serious elevation change on this course, which provides for some scenic views. Generally, the fairways were wide and forgiving, but the multi-tiered greens punish you for approach shots that aren't placed accurately. Carts are equipped with GPS navigation. In all, it was a fun course to play.
The Copper Grill is the club house restaurant. I'd heard or read that it had recently reopened, so my expectations were fairly neutral, but it turned out to be a great place to go. They've created an outdoor venue with a full bar, green space and a stage for live music - a lot of fun while we waited an hour to be seated. Far more lively and energetic than I would have imagined. Niffers was also great atmosphere for fun casual dinner. Chucks Marina has great pizza in a dockside setting that reminded me of the Flora-Bama. Check times before heading there from condo (maybe 15-20 min drive). They had some unusual weekday lunch hours. I would guess by the set up and location that this would be a weekend night hot spot.
To summarize, this was a great off-water place to stay in a gated community, with fun both in, and out of the resort. I'm glad I found it, and hope to return again soon. Thanks to Julie (and Raymond) for both your attention to detail and your hospitality.
