The owner was responsive and helpful but property had too many issues
First, I do want to call out that the owner was responsive and helpful. The owner helped me sort through a bunch of problems. However because I was planning on a long-term stay I needed to move elsewhere while they fixed the issues. Sadly someone had smoked in the condo - causing bad smells throughout. The owner brought in new furniture and foggers. For the future, I would also recommend updating the kitchen equipment for things like stronger knifes, making sure we are aware of problems like the shower before we get there and an updated communication sheet. For example the sheet said (and the booking) that there was laundry on site but it was broken so we had to go to coin across the street. More communication about those things would be good in the future. Again, owner was trying to be helpful but overall the prior renter caused too much of a smoke smell.
Danielle, I'm so sorry again for the smoke smell! We were horrified that the previous guy broke our rules and smoked in there...I am happy to report that it has been completely eradicated after getting rid of the couches, rug, treating the air with a several hundred dollar air purifier and repainting....ugh!!
On the laundry front the HOA temporarily shut it down and are in the process of getting new laundry equipment installed.
We'll address your other thoughts too...new knives etc. Thanks for the feedback.
Cozy apt with balcony "in the trees"
Lisa was the perfect hostess. When I arrived and was unable to get the coded lock to work, she answered the phone immediately and stayed on the phone with me until I was in the apt and could ask a few other questions. She provided information about grocery shopping and the bus line (stop 2 min's away) and was overall totally accommodating. Any time I had questions she followed up very quickly. The apt was cozy and comfortable. I loved the balcony "in the trees", second floor balcony with trees right outside, which was perfect for coffee in the morning and working on the computer. The big walk-in closet was my favorite apt feature. Everything we needed in the apt was provided. The beautiful walking area behind the apt added to the country feel.
Second stay there
It was the second time I stayed in this rental property, then I already knew the place and if I came back, meaning it was nice !
It's definitively a nice place to stay for one or two persons.
Nice place !
It was the second time that I stayed in a Lisa's property !
They're well furnished with all what I need for my stay !
This is quiet area and close to many shopping places, offices, etc...
Lisa is very helpful and reactive if you miss something !
When I walked in the front door of this apartment, I was struck with how soothing it was. The decor, the way the light came in the windows blinds, and the comfortable furniture made a nice sanctuary during our stay. It was nice and clean and well-maintained. The owners were very helpful when we had questions. I would definitely stay here again.
Although a bit dated, condo was clean and quiet.
Could use a little sprucing up. We did enjoy the balcony but really disappointed with dirty pool and cold "hot tub". Info provided by owner was helpful in finding our way around.
Ten minutes from downtown in North Austin. Property is located on one of Austin's famous Greenbelts connecting to Walnut Creek Park which is famous for mountain biking trails. 1 minute drive to get on Loop One (Mopac) so getting anywhere in Austin is fast and easy. Austin is known for its food and there are some great restaurants within five minutes of the condo.
